Well I am really humbled to see how many of you all like Napoleonic Europe. I still have the first draft, drawn by hand, on a piece of paper, and am amazed what Kab and ender managed to do with it to arrive at the final version. Biased or not, my vote goes to it - but I must say that, from an artistic point of view, I truly love Japan - its simplicity, balance and fidelity to its theme are a model of design and execution. However, from a purely creative point of view, Dawn of Ages is truly a work of art - its hand-drawn black ink on old parchment is simply masterful, and so is it adaptation of various folk legends into a coherent whole.
All in all, rather than just one map, my vote for this year goes to Kab as 2010's outstanding mapmaker - and given his King's Court and Fall of Roman Empire, it will be hard to supplant him in 2011... Thanks for everything Kab! Working with you was both a pleasure and a privilege...

Their are 4 maps on here that are favorites. All for different reason. How about you give us more than 1 vote.

Voted woodboro but I could've went with Nordic countries or the world cup map or lunar war.
It was a great year in the foundry, I'm looking forward to what 2011 will bring with some quality betas already out there.

I had to vote for Napoleonic Europe. Honorable mention to 13 Colonies, Stalingrad (still haven't figured that one out) Thyseneal, Nordic Countries, and Christmas.

If I was to decide in terms of the gameplay no doubt I'll pick Stalingrad. Graphically I'd have to declare a tie among at least 5 maps (like Flanders, Cyprus, Napoleonic, etc.). Great production last year. Even though I still miss WidowMakers and Qwert

Remarkable much popularity of the Napoleontic map. I like the theme but never really get the map, should play a bit more on it than. Was a very nice year and fun to have an own map in this top (Flanders 1302) I loved for gameplay Nordic, woodboro and Dawn of ages. Graphically i like South America, Celtics (yes, finally hand drawn maps!), Mexico and Japan, but my favorite is a great map in any way, Fractured America. Love the graphics, the gameplay, objectives, even the storyline. Thumbs up!!!

It was a tough choice for me, between Macedonia and Japan...but I went with Macedonia. But Japan gets an honorable mention in my post.

It's a real pity the remade "Classic" isn't on here - that's the most beautiful map on CC.

I can't believe Fractured America has more votes than Stalingrad. Also, Thyseneal has just one vote. Poor Bison King...

Mexico has only 2 votes (neither of them mine), so the race for last place could be close

Well, the poll has finished, and it looks like Napoleonic Europe has come out on top.
I have taken the liberty of sorting the poll results in order of votes:
I have also taken the liberty of producing some alternative stats, which are based on a crude measure based on the total number of games and the date of quench:
Hell yeah, 13 Colonies is up towards the top!! But then again, it's been around since January 2010 and maybe developed a following. But look where Napoleonic Europe is and hits been around a lot less longer. But over all, it seems the limited edition maps are quite popular.
