Time to hand out some medals. These medals are for the week 3 competition. You where all asked to write something relevant towards a map in the foundry. Your entries where judged on two criteria. Grammar and relevance to the map.

Well some of you just managed to scrape through, but all entries are going to be awarded a medal. Any judge not judging has been deemed as judging great for all entries.

Well done to:
iAmCaffeine
mint-murray
anamainiacks
Swifte
betiko
All of you have received your medals.

On a side note, betiko went above and beyond what was asked for. This to me deserves a special reward. But you will have to wait till Monday for that one.

Hello
I dont think you are not talking about the same subject here.
In this topic your clan just need to choose a "champion" to represent it(dont know how)
Its about the community map project and related to the foundry
You can find more info, here, in the OP

I think you are talking about lx clan tournament with some strict rules to get in, if so, they are a bit more relaxed now.

20 players required that have completed 5 clan games, so we don't qualify.

We don't qualify for the Lx tourney either, wars had to be completed before April 2012, our first war didn't start until April 2012.

Premise:

A group of intrepid explorers (that's you ;)) have entered the map foundry! They split up, searching through the Main Foundry, the Drafting Room, the Atlas, Foundry Discussions, and <gasp> possibly even venturing into the Melting Pot and the Recycling Box. They browse the 225 live maps via game finder or start a game. They use the search function in the forums, possibly even advanced search. They scour every nook and cranny of Conquer Club far and near.

What are all these noble honorably men and ladies looking for, you might ask??

    Information, my friends!

Once again, Cardinal Trini, leader in the Realm of Live Chat, has set forth a task. He asks that Conquer Club's bravest explorers search for the answers to a series of trivia questions. Many people flock to try for the riches he offers as a reward to the first to complete his task. But be warned - each may only claim one treasure chest that day. And should one fail, they may attempt the task again, lest they leave the Realm of Live Chat empty handed!

Date & Times:

    Date: Tuesday, 7 May 2013
Times: 3 trivia contests will be held that day at the following times:
Location: Live Chat, enter /join #GCCM in the message box to join the room where the event will be held.
Format: The first member to correctly answer 10 trivia questions about maps and the foundry wins. The winner of each session will not be allowed to compete in the following session/s. However, if you compete and are unsuccessful, you may compete in other sessions.
Prizes: A shiny gold GA medal!

Good luck to all of the participants, and we hope to see all of you there! Regards,

Second and third places go to:

well you haven't looked at mine lol! kind of did it just for fun cause i don't know how to use those softwares!
I guess you are like me, you got the maps right but he was awarding it randomly to 5 people with the correct answers.

Anyway, happy to have the patron medal, wasn't expecting that one, rather the competition one! ;) so GA #20 for me, a nice milestone! :)

High Fantasy it is (can include dark fantasy) - give a greater spectrum of options and choice. May makes things harder at the end, but better limletless than restricted. Who will have the rights as hollywood and HBO are laready knocking on the door waiting.

I voted Historical Fantasy.

I suppose it's premature to speak of specific concepts, but I'm having an idea. I've always loved the "Heroes in Hell" series of novels, in which historical figures like Sargon the Great, Julius Ceasar, Ernest Hemingway, Confucius, and Napoleon come to be recombined in new and entertaining ways. Obviously, that's copyrighted, but a similar concept under a different name -- like "Valhalla Roll Call" for instance -- could be done.

The great battles of history could be celebrated -- Austerlitz, Horns of Hattin, Agincourt, Guadalcanal, Salamis, Thermopylae, Bosworth Field, and so on. Their victors could also be present as terts, and you would get a bonus for matching the battle to it's victor. So you get +1 if you hold both Napoleon and Austerlitz, another +1 if you hold both Horns of Hattin and Saladin, and so on and so forth.

The rights to the map will follow with CC policy. The author of the map keeps it but CC has the right to use it for as long as it wants.
mint-murray wrote:High Fantasy it is (can include dark fantasy)

Dark fantasy deals mainly with creatures of a nasty nature. High fantasy can include light/dark elements.

I'll guess 71 maps in the jar. Though, I think someone with a little more computer savvy then me, will blow-up the jar size and count them exactly.

ManB, I have to apologise to you. This is a mistake on my part. When I sent the entries of, I entered your first one twice. rds sent me a PM saying this and I, in my own haste never rechecked your PM. Again my apologies. I will endeavour to not make this mistake again.

Does not work. The pixels become very hard to count like that. So far, you are the forth to answer (though you need to send a PM) and all are different. :D
