its an addition to whatever he already has. So if one of them is a werewolf and the other the witch, then they retain their powers, but if one dies so does the other.

The night was full of danger, screams, and horrors. The werewolves, awakened out of their slumber and rose to kill and eat. However they were not the only ones active in the night, as they began to attack their prey Lightning struck. Fire floated from the forest and began to chase them, and in terror they melted into the night. The Witch, sensing their prey slowly picked the broken body up, and poured a vial over it. Slowly reciting a spell she watched the body convulse, and finally coughing the person stood up, and in a daze wandered back into the house. The Witch watched this, and smiling softly disappeared into the Woods until she found the perpetrators.
No One has died!
