The six months of vacation has expired, for this reason this topic is now labeled as [Abandoned]. An action, as stated in our Abandoned map policy has been taken. If the original mapmaker wants to continue this map project it's fine but a real update must provided. From this moment anyone else is free to continue this project without the original mapmaker permission, but it has to be started from the scratch.

Thinking about maybe bringing this back. A quick note to self, would be to combine the 3 bonus areas in the South east into 2. Give Kent and Surrey to the bonus area associated with London (Essex), and all others to the Southern bonus area (Sussex/Kent). Also I would convert Dover into a town.

Yes I think I want to put this back into production. What would you need to see to get this back on it's way.

God this is sad... are there any mods here? Does anyone still check this part of the site?

The foundry is pretty dead, but if you make an XML and become a beta tester, then you can probably get it uploaded to the beta site where you can play it with the bots or other beta testers.

I don't know if there's still any path to getting a map to be a beta on the main site. Though if they're never going to improve the map browser, then adding more maps just adds to the confusion.

Ian still looks in from time to time, and ManB also.

Ian is currently travelling, but he will be back.

Go ahead and post an update. You will need to post an update to qualify for having your thread returned to the Main Foundry, anyway.

Awesome, I always thought this was a good looking map. Excited for the chance to play it some day

I love the idea behind this map -- it would be cool to see some of the barons & nobles influences here instead of towns, and maybe try some really different layouts on how the regions are grouped into bonuses.

There's a really good book called A Short History of England that I bet would give you lots and lots of great ideas for this map - this time frame is covered within the first 50 pages or so.
