How do you use map rank to see how many points you have earned in SoC games?

The link above will show you several available add-ons that you can install.

Once it is installed, use the game finder to select your parameters, but instead of clicking on "Search," click on "MapRank" and it will open the results in a new window. FYI, you must input a player's name in the search fields, even if it is your own.
