One of these are
Fog/Trench/NoSpoils and
No Round Limit ... before I accept the match and get stuck in the challenge for what will probably be a long time I would like to suggest that there is something put in the Challenge rules regarding the settings .... not only does it block other challenges but since it will go on so long it will also be a pain to keep track of while the players continue other challenges etc ...
Please let me know your thoughts ....
I am thinking there should either be a limit on the selection of only smaller maps if these settings are used ... or mandatory round limit ... or maybe the game can be created with the settings but the person creating the game MUST WIN it within a certain number of rounds before the game is considered a loss for this contest.
dhallmeyer wrote:FYI Elric, game finder says there's only 495 of these games with matching map and settings. Just scanning through, there's a handful of 17-20 rounders, and most are between 11-16. None so far past 20.
Rule #4 covers this, "All matches are best two (2) out of three (3). Polymorph games are NOT allowed. The challenger creates a game and conditions of their choosing, the challenged player creates a game and conditions of their choosing. The CHALLENGER creates a random map with Automatic, Escalating, Chained, Sunny, No Trench conditions."
Round limits have never been an issue in the past and some games have been rather long because of the settings created by the player.
I did my own search of these settings (2 player, Sandard, World 2.1, auto, seq, no spoils, fog, trench) and came up with 374 finished games. My findings were consistent with dhallmeyer's.
So, if you are looking for a ruling, then here it is...The match and game are legit.
