We also need tentative bonus amounts.

And I agree about the cultural icons versus the armies.

Well which ones do you all seem to like? I wish Farang was around, but he went out of the country for a week or 2. Let me know what you all are thinking.

I didn't put bonus amounts on yet either, was looking for some opinions.

I'd rather have army regions... as for the bonuses, use the calculator. viewtopic.php?f=466&t=123978

Well I took the cultural Icons off for now, they might be back once Farang gets back to defend them, maybe we can work something out.

I also used nattys calculator, they seem to be a little higher then i thought they would be... still a neat tool tho.

I also thickened the boarders, 2px. I think I will take them down to 1px wide... look too thick. I just wanted to make all the boarders even for now.

Personally, I think that would make the map stand out. An entire map based on temple locations.

Meh... There were around 12 Thai symbols (and a temple) that i just took off before you commented. The map was "too crowded" and majority of people that look at this map said take them off. So i took them off for now, maybe they will come back later.

There was a sweet Thai girl symbol in Chonburi (AKA Pattaya). Off for now unless people want the cultural symbols back.

I lived rather worked for a bit in north Thailand area... this is pretty accurate map from my memory. There are of course a shitload more temples and such but I think you did a nice job.

The "royal thai army" well they basically give the US a fence and run the mess and such for the us/allies intel and soldiers. But this looks really cool.

That would be interesting, a map of all 5 countries, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Burma"

he is right... a lot of those inland borders dont really exist so much... its more just a general area.

anyway, looks like a ton of work, and thank you.. cant wait to play it.

Yeah Thailand is full of temples, but it is also full of tons of other things people think of when they think of Thailand.. which is why we had the cultural symbols, i believe they might come back in some sort of form once Farang is able to comment on them.

Off the subject, i have lived in Thailand 5+ years working, and Farang i believe has been here even longer, and he knows a lot about the land and the ideas coming for bonuses and mountain impassables were his ideas, this map is pretty accurate, except for some terts we had to merge, but as for mountain ranges, those are pretty much on the spot

nice man... I have not googled it, and my comments were just from memory, and I tend to be dumb with memory, but it all looks dead on. Lots of realy cool maps coming through the system. Im pretty excited.

A good way to proceed IMO:

1) wait for comments
2) if you do not get comments, make some change - people either like or dislike it, but will comment either way
3) make changes based on feedback
4) go back to 1

Central Plains and Bangkok Metro are overvalued -- they're too small for bonusese that large. They should be worth at most 4 each, I think, unless someone can offer an argument for more.
Likewise, I don't think Upper Mekong deserve more than 3, or Khorat Basin or Lower North more than 6.

Moreover I think you could use an airport in the South since even with the Chakri Naruebet that's a formidable bottleneck there.

Ok, that was what the tert values came to when i used nattys bonus calc. These can change, I thought they looked high as well, and i was thinking of putting an airport in Nakonsithammarat (That is where my wife is from, and we flew into that airport before)... but what if CM airport connected to BKK and BKK connected to Nakhon Airport? instead of having all 3 connect, because there is no flight that goes from CM to Nakhon directly, you always have to fly into BKK first.

Edit: nvm about airport in Nakhon, maybe put 1 in Trang instead, there is 1 there too, if it doesn't have to be an actual real airport location we could put 1 in the deep south instead of Trang.

If that's what you want, as long as it's not too confusing on the legend.
