when i first saw your complaint i thought "wow i've been expecting for such a xml update for so long. receiving a bonus that takes into consideration the amount of troops on a terit is wonderful, i'd better use this on one of my maps"
then natty came and explained the problem and my dreams went down the drain.
unfortunately the way that's worded on the map really makes you think you need 4 terits with 4 troops on them :)
somebody stole my sig

natty_dread wrote:Um, no. When you have 20 regions, you'll get 5. It works the same way as the regular territory bonus, only it's 1 for 4 instead of 1 for 3 and the minimum is 4 instead of 3.

lol not even when I thought I understood it did I really understand it :) !

Would be cool with a feature like that! Though I already thought it existed :) !

The wording is indeed quite confusing! I suggest something like this; One troop is awarded for every fourth region and the lowest amount of troops awarded is four.

Deploy one troop for every four regions,
a given minimum of four troops.

I think that the "deploy" part would help some of the confusion.

Ok, the way it is currently worded: "One troop for every four territories with a minimum of four troops" is VERY misleading. I played a game where I was trying to get 4 troops on all my territories so I could get the bonus troops. Get it? It makes it sound like for every four territories that you have at least four troops on you get an additional troop!

Yes, it might have been better to say "One troop for every four territories; minimum of four troops". As you must understand by now, the intent of the legend is to point out the difference from what appears in the Instructions:

I. Deploying Your Troops

At the beginning of every turn you will collect a certain amount of troops. The number of troops you get is determined by this formula:

(regions ÷ 3, minimum of 3) + zone bonus + spoils bonus
