Re: Eurasia Mini [10.3.12] p5

natty, for those issues i asked to be addressed, onya! Much better and much more consistent.
I did find the font used in the title, and yes it's a font that has a jumble of slants for each letter.
IMO, It would be better if it looked all the same direction i.e. perhaps vertical, but i won't push that unless someone else has that as objective for change.
Thank you. :)

Yeah but I like it because the font is kind of like handwritten serif font, like the name implies... I think it fits the style of the map really well. The small imperfections only enhance the effect.

Vischeck is a piece of crap IMO... it only gives you thumbnail images, and since both GIMP and PS have built-in CB filters I don't see why anyone still bothers with it...

Anyway, I made a couple of colour changes, I'll post the test versions shortly...

hmmm, there are issues. Mainly the dark army colors, blue mainly, is interacting with territory outlines where they overlap. Britian, Med, E & SE Europe, Far East, Philippines, Indonesia are the areas that need something done. The dark outline/glow is probably the issue, lighten that up or change the color.

With the vischeck everything is ok.... but I'd be happier if you switched the bonus colors for India and E Asia.

I think it's mainly an issue of number placement, I can position them in the xml so that they won't cause problems.

RedBaron0 wrote:I'd be happier if you switched the bonus colors for India and E Asia.

I don't really want to do that... I want to keep the colour scheme the same as on the large Eurasia.

Alright, but if it comes into play again, you're going to have to fix it. You don't have a lot of room in Cen. and SE Europe to play with, and you don't have the land surface in the Far East, the Philippines, and Britain to place numbers. These numbers may have to be placed on the sea.

Obviously, the color switch would have to change on both large and small. That is up to you. Like I said, its OK. However it can be BETTER. My concern is while under the color blindness filter Middle East/India/SE Asia are pretty close in color, as well as Siberia and E Asia. It's a simple fix.

That's what I did on the large Eurasia as well, I can do the same here.

I mean the Eurasia map. I want the colour scheme to be the same on the large and the mini version.

Ok here's updated small version, I moved some labels to make more room for the numbers, and moved some numbers to sea.

I have a concern. Why isn't this map in the Final Forge, dammit?!

Kidding :) I, of course, mean to say that I have no problems with the map and look forward to seeing it to betafication in a few weeks :)

As an aside, I did the XML for this already, so if we can just get the XML checked quickly, there's a good chance this could well be released at the same time as the main Eurasia map...

Slight update - resized sig on the small version, because it looked kinda odd to have the sig larger than the title
