Skull and crossbones for a pirate map - yes!
Skull and crossbones for an Israel map - really?

Bridges, rectangle of wood texture.
Bridge Hazor to eastern war zone? Is that not the dead sea? It looks connected to me but it might be a river coming of. Either way, it is one body of water and would need to be treated as such.

Some first impressions, is that the legend text is somewhat difficult to read easily. The actual text for regions names isn't too bad, but some letters are difficult to make out... like 'a' and few others.

The color scheme also kind of feels off. The more muted colors you had on your Florida map generally worked pretty well. But these more vibrant and primary colors once again feel off.

In terms of gameplay, I'll have to give that a more thorough look.

lol, I was using more as a universal symbol for death

That's actually the Sea of Galilee, but hasn't been labeled or turned into a tert yet. The river between them is the Jordan, and keeps the two sides separate except for the limited crossing points.

A bridge across a sea would be strange. I think a boat would be more realistic. I still like the skull and cross bones representing death, but Koontz is the "Boss Man". Image

I cannot find any other death symbol. the only other option would be to not have it at all

Yes it would. The bridge actually runs across the northern part of the Jordan River, which leads into the Sea of Galilee, and then out of the South and down to the Dead Sea. I'm planning to leave the bridge where it is and just label the sea, and not make it a tert.

While you're waiting how about a Draft stamp and a move up? ;) I'm pretty sure this meets all of the requirements as it is.

I don't smoke that anyway, but let me know what else I can do to move this along.

Dead Sea 2 attacks Dead Sea 1, Kerioth, and Kinah. Are you just busting my bullocks or do you think players will not understand?

Sort out dead sea 2, mountains need to be finished, Some look good whilst others look sporadic (Masada). I looks like I can walk right through those ones. Texture for the land. Dead sea could use some love as well as the rivers.

Again, you are using the tribal wars name, you have that on old parchment paper because of the time period, what about this one?

i will leave this to some one with more experience, but some of the highlights still seem a little loud. I like the text on the territories, but the text in the instructions (The ones to the right of the dead sea, and the one between Genesis and the legend) could they be more of a normal text. All else looks really awesome Seamus, Sweet map. It came along so quickly too. :D

As someone said already before, it's not very easy to read all the region names. Small letter "a" is too similar to "e" and "z", so I see "Nzzrzth" and "Gzzzr" and "Mzszdz" :) Aside from that, map is perfect :)

CURRENT UPDATE INFO-2012-11-08:
- Overhauled the look and went with my original plan, which was to use the same type of background, as Koontz suggested as well. I think with some adjustment to the color pallet this will work nicely, and keeps the consistency of the Tribal War theme throughout.
- Updated the Dead Sea area to be a different color then the rest of the rivers in that section.
- Added swords to the Dead Sea terts to indicate additional lines of attack from one to the other.
- Fixed the mountains to be less sparse, but they are not finished yet, and I will be adding a couple more to what is there to fill in any other areas.

Still need thoughts on:
- Bonus values

Will leave that to the GP mods to go over with you.

Going to sticky this now but give some of that sea love to the rivers and will get this sent on its way very soon.

Hey Koontz, which rivers are you speaking of, and which sea do you like? Thanks for the sticky! Just want to give your thoughts a try.

Never buddy. Don't worry your map is coming along great, and there are enough people that want this made you won't have trouble along the way.

dead sea, it is a nice colour so something like that with an outline would look good and go with the dead sea much better. It might be an idea also to have the same colour blending in from under the land into the main sea.

I am still not sure about the river Jordan and sea of Galilee. Try to give the dead sea some death.

CURRENT UPDATE INFO-2012-11-08:
- Adjusted the color on the ocean, the Jordan River and Sea of Galilee, but still need to play around with those last two to get the colors looking right.
- Updated the Dead Sea area again to be a different color vs the rest of the rivers, and added an inner border. Let me know if you like the color.
- Added some mountains around Jericho to cut it off from the war zone.

Please look at:
- Masada and Jerusalem in Judah. Let me know if you think that text is easier to read vs the last version. Since the font includes capital letters and lower case it's a pretty big pain in the ass to make that text happen. Basically I need to make two text layers, one with the first letter capitalized in a larger font, then the second with the rest of the text in capitals but in a smaller font. I then need to adjust the two to be in line, then merge and create my new outer glow. That will need to be done 83 times, plus other text, so it will take a while to complete. Let know some thoughts while I keep working on them.

You are going to hate me but I like the new text. But before you do all the others, text it on the small map mock up you did to see if it still looks good. ;) But do not merge the files. :D

If you turn all layers of apart from the text ones, copy visible and paste that onto a new layer. Then all of your text is done for glows. You can then also do all of the first letters at the bottom and copy and paste them to all names that need it. This will save you loads of time.
Do this for territ names, and legend texts separately so you can play around with them independently.

Dead sea, reverse the glow so it becomes lighter at the edges. Turn the layer onto dodge I think but if you go through them you will see some turn black into white.

Yeah, I know the text looks better. I'll test it on the small, but I might be able to keep the second part of the names the same size and just make the first letter a little smaller. We'll see.

Thanks Koontz.

Yeah, much better now.
Though, you could just make all territory names in CAPITALS, without the first letter being BIG :) It would still look cool!
