ok i read last few posts and now understand your witty post gimil

As they say actions speak louder than words....

Unit_2 widows map is much nicer than the old one, however does still need some tweaking.

And does it really matter how many maps widow make sas long as they are playable and with sound graphics :?

OK here is the latest update
I have made the "dead" areas less flat.
I still think the current bridges are the best. They are so small that any detail just looks bad.

It is an airport. Those are pretty flat you know. Bumpy runways are not the best thing for an airport to have. If you look at both the new and old airports, the new one has a slight emboss that gives a little depth.

What if the bridges had some sort of structure to them? Personally I think they're fine, but I guess it wouldn't hurt for them to have some other distinguishing features that makes them look more like bridges, rather than just roads.

I'm fine with the way things are with this map...

if you do decide to change the airport than I would suggest trying a cartoonish like way about it. Maybe an airport with one flight tower and one or two runways would allow you more room to make it more detailed.

quarry looks cool! too much water to be a replica of the one near my house, but it definitely looks like a quarry! Good work on that one.

I wouldn't even bother with the bridges unless you're planning on making a structural bridge with supports and shit. Even doing that I think it would be overkill and look way too good to the point the bridges would be the eye-catcher and take away from the rest of the map. I really can't think of anything you could do with them to keep the graffics balanced...

Here is the next update. I tweaked some of the colors and textures.
I have decided to keep the bridges. RockSolid liked them and many others have said that they are OK. They are too small to show any real detail (especially on the small map). Adding detail just makes it too busy.

Why do you have some kind of glow around the cross? To give it a celestial effect? Can you remove it to see if it's better without it or if it's better as it is?

Sorry DiM. That is actually city hall. I will put something there and see how it looks. Plus I will take the glow off of the cross as well

First this map it's very nice, the only correction is for the name of south shore . The correct name it's Longueuil same as Laval.

Because this is a revamp, I cannot change any of the names on the map. It is to be kept the same as the current playable map only cleaned up graphically.

could you remove the yellow glow from downtown?

just make it yellow text with no glow.

PS: thanks for the castle/city hall.
