Soon there will be no less than 3 maps on this site where you can be Nazi Germany. Are these maps disparaging 6 million jews? I don't think so. This Iraq map is just as much a part of history as WW2 and fair game as I see it. It is YOU who are bringing the politics and bias into an otherwise neutral map. What if some Islamic CC player who knew people blown up by US bombs came by with their grievances. Truth is, there all many sides to this war, and I tried my best to represent them all with accuracy and balance inrespect to the facts and gameplay. I know full well that I can't please everyone however.

If an Iraqi or anyone had grievances I agree opinions aside. Civilians die there everyday. It just so happens my friend and Iraqi translator was executed by the Madhi army so it's not just based on me being an
American. I just think it's tacky. It's still going on so it's a little different as I doubt there are any holocaust survivors on here. I was stating my opinion, if you had been there you might feel different as well. A map of Iraq is fine but to have all of the factions makes it a little tasteless and it's somewhat flawed anyway. If you are going to make it intricate at least commit all the way.

1. You have a lot of space given to the "CITY ALIGNMENT" thing but I cant see what it's there for.

2. You have bonuses for the number of allied cities that you hold in the "Madi Army", "Baathist", "al-qaeda" and "United States". But I cant see how you differenceate between the citys... Which citys are part of which groups.

OR I just haven't understood the bonus sistem at all.

I agree completely... I look at this map and my first thought is "i don't get it, so i shouldn't play it." If somebody can't size it up in under 60 seconds they're likely to move on.

your right, I need to clarify the system on the map. but this is not a map for the lowest common denominator. i hope it appeals to those players who enjoy complexity.

Does anyone have anything more to add before we see the next version of mibi's real map?

So I am rebuilding the map. Here is the borders and such with the mixed areas. I am assuming its obvious which areas are part of Sunni and which are 'all Sunni' etc.

Let me know if im mistaken

I am also taking out the rivers since they were just clutter and rarely acting as a border.

The map its self is very easy to read now... I find the legend hard though... Why have you got two diferent boneses for what seem to be the same thing... I realise that there mush be a diferance... Like "if you hold so many of such you get so meny armes". Are you going to be putting that in latter??

well Sunni and all Sunni are different. Sunni is just the solid green areas. It's 6 territories. all Sunni includes the two mixed areas, which are significantly harder to get. Is this clear?

The other bonuses will come later.

Colors look much better and easier to follow. Are you still going to break out Baghdad? Honestly though - at first I didn't follow "Kurd" and "all Kurd" bonus until I looked more closely at the map borders. Maybe you want to make all the entire territories inner border the other hue, instead of just the bordering border.. Does that make sense? Anyway, looks good mibi.

Changes:
1. Added roads cities, provinces and all names. I hope its easy enough to follow, even without the rest of the legend/instructions.
2 Added the baghdad break out.
3.Changes the mixes borders similar to RJ's suggestion, they have a dash border of both or three colors, the name also has a double stroke in both colors.

still left to:
-city alignment and legend
-instructions
-other stuff.

Baghdad has 8 borders as listed on the break out map. Forexample you can travel from Tikrit to Baghdad vis the northern road. or From Salahaddan. You can even travel from Nasirrlyah to Baghad via the souther road, or from Babil. There are many ways to get to bagdad.

Any city can attack the region its in. Cities can also attack via the road. So if you own Anbar, you can attack all the cities in the province. If you owen Rutbah you can attack Anbar or Ramadi.

If you look on the old map in the first post it has all the instructions and such.

Looks good - I personally don't like the inner / outer shadows on the army circles. I prefer solid-flat. Thats just me though. :-k

I also see a type-o.

See where Sadr city is, the road to the side says "Dyla" and there is no "Dyla", theres a Dyala no dyla,(this is also the same in New Baghdad)

That's what I thought... loving that plan...

For Baghdad - would it be better if you had -> "To Tikrit (Northern Road)" -> instead of "Northern Road"?

Also - spelling mistake on Dyala/dyla
Also - Eastern Road - instead of western Road...
