Quench it already. It's a gorgeous example of why the Foundry rocks. Where's Andy with his XML Passed and Quench stamps when you need him?

What a map, RJ. Definitely one of the top three most beautiful maps on the site. Can't wait to play it.

This map should be a case study in how to impart an ethos from the most minimal of design elements. It's the only map on this site that I wouldn't mind seeing on my wall. Well done RJ.

I just had an idea, not sure if you would want to do it, but you listed this fact:

Iceland is alone in upholding another Norse tradition, i.e. the custom of using patronymics rather than surnames; and Icelander´s Christian name is followed by his or her father´s name and the suffix -son or -dóttir, e.g. Guðrún Pétursdóttir (Guðrún, daughter of Pétur). Members of a family can therefore have many different "surnames", which sometimes causes confusion to foreigners!

Maybe you would want to incorporate that into your sig on the map? (i.e. RjBeals ...son [i think that's what applies, and you can put whatever you want to put in the ... area]).
me have no sig

Ha.. that's kind of interesting - but I think only about 10 people on the whole site would get it. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think just my screen name suits it better.

Hi RJ.

I noticed you had once posted in the Norwegian forum for a translation of Northern, Western, etc to Icelandic.

Do you still want to do that or stick with English? Maybe our Icelandic friends who posted in the thread can help you if it's still something you want to do.

I really don't care. I would prefer to leave it how it is now. I kind of like how it is.

I don't think anyone has mentioned that. that's a snow covered mountainous region.
I do not want to remove the snow, or turn it gray, so I think it should stay. Sorry about your eyes. :geek:
