why does Sydney stop at Parra ? what happened to Penriff & Campbelltown.

Thanks for posting greenoaks....answer...the same reason it doesn't include the Hawkesbury, Hornsby, LInfield, and all those other suburbs....i ran out of room.

This was also the original Sydney 2000 olympics map where only some of the major venues wer included in the map. Penrith wasn't included, nor was Campbelltown.

In order to include all those i'd have to make another sydney map and call it outer sydney.

i thought it would be because of room but i read the entire thread before posting and noticed it was initially based on the olympics.

as the rowing was held at Penrith's regatta centre & the equestrian was at the back of Fairfield/Liverpool somewhere. Horsley Park springs to mind. i think the shooting was out there somewhere too. so i thought i'd ask.

great looking map. looking forward to owning all of Sydney.

yeh, thanks for push here greenoaks....i will consider re-arrange some of this map to include those outer terts...i'll see what happens...it could actually make better gameplay if i include the hawkesbury river mouth out to back of penrith/blue mountains, and then down to the Geroges River. MMMmmmmmm.....that could be a very creative map!!1

greenoakes...i've just investigated the larger sydney area, and the coastal plain is over 40 miles wide as the crow flies.....it is such a large area, that it might be worthwhile leaving the option open to make an "outer" metrolopolitan area map of sydney" for play at a later date.

yes, Sydney is massive. don't worry about an outer Sydney map, there is not much out here. well there is me.

i have reviewed the map on page 2 and i agree with the post about Mascot. it gives the impression of being two separate terts with that pedestrian crossing. if it was one tert you would not be crossing.

you have the same design issue with the City tert where Pyrmont would be but because of its small size and the placement of the army circle on the same side of the crossing as the tert name it does not seem to be such an issue.

if you changed the road to an underground for Mascot & City like you did for the Airport it might work, not 100% accurate but ....... although it might be soon for the City as council plans were unveiled for consultation last week to put the western distributor underground.

OK Version 3....

1. I fixed the tunnels under Mascot etc.
2. Added pedestrian lights at the pedestrian crossings simp[ly to indicate where the crossing are as some because of size are hard to see.

the airport is just known as the International Airport so you might be able to drop the KS. it has been a long time since we referred to as Kingsford Smith Airport.

yes i agree DiM, but other didn't so i remove all the confusion...now it's just a simple classic style map for the masses, whether they like it or not.

Yes mibi,...and like i said to dim it was not popular because people were having trouble understanding it.

i never saw the previous version, but i like this one.
especially the tiny traffic lights (though one is cut off in Brookvale).
people with poor vision may have trouble with those ferry routes though...
maybe dashes instead of dots?
