yeah, I as going to go around and make the coastlines look like coastlines - australia and scandinavia are good examples of coastlines I've already worked on - but I totally forgot. Other things came first this weekend. time to start the to do list..
• moutains • coastlines • boats need work in my opinion
sorry to double post. Looking at it, Japan dosnt seem to fit color wise... its like a random blank slate... perhaps your useing a color thats just too light to see or because the island is so skiny? but it looks like one solid color and is kinda bleh.
The border between the Russian Empire and Chinese Empire is obscured by the mountains at the north of Mongolia... I it possible to bring the red/grey borders to the edge of the mountains instead of beneath them (if that makes sense) - the same applies to the Tibet/Nepal border... At first glance it looks like Russia/Asia could be one massive continent.
You've used the Trading Company fleets in a slightly more creative way than I had envisaged... I like the suggestion about giving each boat a different style. Is it possible to make the flags look more canvassy? (ie. less rectangular and more fluid)
I'm eager to see what you've got up your sleeves in relation to your mountains
PB: 2661 | He's blue...If he were green he would die | No mod would be stupid enough to do that
I agree about ships, 4 different would be better, with "flying" flags. Maybe put the smoke lighter or remove it, maybe. Japan empire (color and limits) isn't different enough from the rest. Btw is Taiwan in or out?
But again, wonderful map.

As always thanks for the feedback... some changes:
• Japan was bugging me all along but I thought maybe it was just a result of my mild colorblindness. I've given Japan the blue, China the yellow, and swapped the orange and teal in S. Africa and Oceania to make it clear that Taiwan goes with Japan.
• Four boats, flying their colors.
• "Roughed up" some coastlines. Greece and Italy look a bit better now, as does that eastern peninsula in russia. More to come as things bug me.
