Some quick suggestions:

You should fix Aeosta and Genoa names. In the italian language they are Aosta and Genova.
Stripes on Nice have a different green color.
Blue and green of Savoy come out from the edge on the Swiss border
Bastia/Ajaccio border needs a small fix on the right side.

About luxemburg, i must admit that the color choice doesn't seem the best one. Try to follow the RedBaron's advice, you should only make it less noticeable. ;)
Then i would suggest to clarify in the best way possibile (on both maps) that you should control/hold for one round the shields/crosses to win the game.

Looking forward your next update :)

Alright, I found a solution to the Luxembourg debate which satisfies me. The colors of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg are Gold and Black... I opted for a shade of gold different than Austria. Does confusion prevail and the Grand Ducky appear to be a long lost province of Austria or are we cool with golden Luxembourg? I tried toning down the blue and then it really looked like it was part of the sea :(

I notice my corresponding box doesn't have its outline... will fix.... later.

I liked it better before... now luxembourg kinda looks like a part of that belgian flag. It's easy to miss if you look quickly, that it's an actual territory. Make the colour a different tone than the one in the flag, at least.

Deff a step in the right direction. Perhaps make it a brighter gold. Like the shade in the corresponding bonus box. It looks to be pretty close to the Belgium color on the map.

Hmm... I tried going lighter and got Austria or more like the Belgian flag... I tried darker and have what we shall hitherto refer to as the color Deep Gold and not refer to as the color brown. Thoughts?

I also made the Italy changes... Nobodies, I'm not sure how you see different shades of green but I redid it anyway.

It looks an awful lot like brown to me ;)

Anyway, it's good enough. Doesn't get confused with the flag anymore.

True, but the colour in the legend doesn't match the colour on the map very well in my view. Is there some texture on the map that is not on the legend?

Dropshadow from the borders is mudding it up. I'll tweak the box once it seems that everyone will be happy with "Deep Gold."

Are we all happy with the gold color on Luxemburg?

Industrial Helix wrote:I'll tweak the box once it seems that everyone will be happy with "Deep Gold."

While doing this, remember to clarify the objective as you did with the italian map. ;)
Are there somewhere the versions with 888? Because I think that if everything fits on the small versions, these maps are pretty ready for the Final Forge.

Nice work :)

The FF already? Maybe the foundry is speeding up a tad?

Heres the actual images for Germany:

For those with a keen eye, I had to make some border revisions on both maps so that everything would fit well enough.

It works for me. No way to associate it with a water barrier now.

May want to slide Trier to the right a smidgen to alleviate congestion.

Nice map.

Cool jefjef, Thanks. I moved Trier over a tad on my version.

The border between Trier and Koln is different between the "actual images for Germany" and the small triple digits test. It looks to me as though the "actual image" won't have the Trier troops inside the territory.

Ah yeah, I made the border changes when I started putting in the numbers. The actual image is the image with the numbers. So what you see in the numbers image is how its going to be.

OK one more nit pick.

Could ya move the Berlin iron cross up off the army circle a tad? Give it some separation like the others.

Thought 'd post these yet again to show the minor tweaks that Nobodies suggested to me via pm. Gilligan is working on XML and has started, should be no time before this baby is up for Beta... maybe. Ah, I need to put Gilligan's name on the map as well.

Are you sure you posted the correct images?
On the small map circles still cover the text on piemonte and magenta, also the objective explanation is different... :?
Although I consider the first thing something small that can be left out, instead I think you should add "for one round" to the objective text even in the small version. ;)
Finally another small thing, the legend on the small version of Germany, the box outlines look different then the other 3 maps.

Except for that, your maps are ready for the final forge :)

And regarding the Germany map... the way I put the lines around the boxes has it so that they can't get any smaller. I moved them on this inside, which makes them a little more cleaner. I can't get them any smaller though.

Whoa... this is in the FF already. Cool. This map has been progressing a lot faster than 13 Colonies did and certainly a lot faster than I anticipated. Gilligan is working on the XML and I expect to hear from him when its done. In the meantime, I need to update the images so that they include his signature.

Thanks everyone!
