Ah, I see. I really like this idea, so please implement this lack! Different colors in different games can really throw me off, even with just 4 games at a time. I like pink and orange best

As someone who is strongly shade-blind, I disagree very much...it actually works exceptionally well.

As someone who is strongly against having letters on the battlefield with numbers, i think this doesn't work

Heck, I'm not colour-blind, but I use the codes all the time. Without them, I find it too easy to confuse red and pink or orange and yellow, especially on some backgrounds. Even with the codes, I will occasionally glance at a map and subconsciously read it based on colour only, and then notice that the codes are telling me a different story.

Can't you guys see that little changes like this could help the game alot. Dont wait around and decide on huge changes for the game which take 4ever. Why is it so hard to make it where people can choose their own color? It wouldnt cause conflicts, why would someone argue about not being able to be blue cause somebody else picked it. There are plenty of pending games on cc, if the color they want is already chosen, then they can go find another game.

Also, why doesnt the site have clickable maps, that doesnt require b.o.b? Im not trying to critize you guys too much, because im sure its not easy running and maintaing a site like this. But if you guys dont start moving forward, example, clickable maps, choosing your own color, making the color be an american flag, or stuff like that, then other sites will surpase you and nobody will play conquerclub anymore. For example go check out dominating12.com. That site is awesome(so is cc, thats why i still play it), they have the original classic risk map, clickable maps, premimum(just like cc), you can choose your own color in a game, live games(speed) are free. I love conquerclub, its one of the best risk sites out there. Im just trying to give some suggestiongs, thats all.

I vote for allowing players to pick their color or color slot; whatever enhances the game for some. Nobody will ever agree on everything.

It would be nice to see this one implmented. I'd imagine it would be pretty easy to do this if you were to be able to just select your colour slot when you join, much like you can select your team now.

This suggestion didn't even get off the ground until Army of GOD suggested it last year.

So, in profile, have a "color preference" box to fill out.

Give it to premiums only. I'm a freemium, but I think it'd be a good premium perk.

Yes, it is just the sort of thing to have as a premium feature. It makes no difference really to a game, so there is no cause to call it unfair, but it is nice to have, so one can pay for it.

Maybe you could have it where everyone sees the color they want. I know it's possible, but is it a good idea?

How about this:

Epic: A player should be able to set the order of colors he prefers so that he is most likely to play with his favorite colors.

1) Add a feature to the Control Panel: "Set my color preferences" where a player can rank the available colors

2) Update the "initialize game" bit to set colors based on the players' preferences.

- you won't always get your favorite color, but you'll be more likely to get it
- no annoying pre-game dialogs to add overhead to getting a game going

How on earth would this help colorblind players?

I think it would be awesome. Maybe there could be more then 6 colors to chose from. I miss the black armies from my childhood RISK playing days. If there was more then 6 colors then people would not get stuck with something they dont like (pink).

This wouldn't be possible with the current agreed upon way of implementing this, which is as TFO mentioned above, is being able to choose the player slot you join. This is the easiest way to implement this change and knowing Lack, will be the only way it would ever happen since it's very similiar to the current 'join team' code in place for team games and hence should be easy enough to implement.

It is a very cool idea and if they did implement it I think it should be a Premium only (I'm a Freemium). I do think also that it would take too much energy and would not add that much to the game itself.

it doesn't add anything to the game and you don't get to choose the colour you want unless you create the game.

everyone else gets to choose from the scraps which may include the one they want but the more that have joined before them the less likely that is. right down to the last person to join who gets NO choice whatsoever.

5 years.... this will never get done
