Of course! Here is my "secret" breakfast vegan green smoothie recipe:
In a heavy duty blender, combine 1 cup water, 1-2 cups frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and so on - singly or in combo), several large handfuls of spring mix, or any other kind of greens (about 6-8 cups total, more is better) an ounce or two of raw, unsalted nuts (cashews or almonds are nice), blend. Add a couple tablespoons of chia seed, a couple tablespoons of freshly ground flax seed (an electric coffee grinder is perfect for that), and a half cup of pomegranate juice (make sure it's 100% pomegranate juice - no sugar or other juices mixed in!) I usually add the chia/flax/pom juice to my drinking glass rather than the blender, so there is minimal waste of these more expensive ingredients. Pour the blender contents into the drinking glass (you will likely have several refills, depending on the size of the glass) and enjoy! Serves one, about 500 calories, and if that doesn't start your day off right, I give up!
