We'll be having a live chat draw, to be announced.

:D

It'll start in week 4 if I remember correctly!

The thread for our League Division states, that 1st round of this here Cup is supposed to start 22nd April. Can we expect the seedings soon ? Would be nice to have more than 1 day to plan our maps, settings, teams, etc.

Apologies to one and all, unfortunately I have been somewhat physically and mentally exhausted these last two weeks and have a lot to catch-up on.

The live draw for the knock-outs will take place on Friday, at CC Time: 2012-4-19 09:00:00. Please Wall me if you would like to be one of the VIPs to draw numbers (numbers will correspond to a list which I will make (and send to chemefreak in advance)).

The Time:
CC Time: 2012-4-19 09:00:00.
If you click the link it will tell you the time for your time zone.

The Place
Live Chat
Type "/Join CLCups" for the chat room.

Any non-VIPs in the chat room are requested not to confuse with the drawing process. In between the drawing of clans for each tournament there will be opportunity to comment, as well as at the end of the draw of course.

By then, it will also hopefully be clear whether AKA have an alternative contact for them to particpiate.

The 7 clans not entered in the tournaments are welcome to propose themselves as potential replacements for AKA (remember, tournaments involve a small bracket of 8 clans, each round is only 13, 13 or 15 games in total).

As the draw is extremely close to the proposed start date of sunday, a more relaxed schedule will be devised for clans to submit home game maps, settings and players, as well as for away games. This will also ensure there is time for CDs to arrange privileges. Details will be announced on friday, with the first deadline being no earlier than tuesday midnight. This should give clans enough time to plan and for privileges to be arranged, threads created etc and for me to get up to speed with everything necessary over the weekend.

Once again, apologies to all for delays, mainly down to my own time management failings.

Just for the record, the date/time in the post above should read CC Time: 2012-4-20 09:00:00 (Friday, not Thursday).

As per the league, each clan has half of the games with home maps and settings. In each round there will be one tie-breaker game (Random, Escalating, Chained, Sunny).

I'm not sure whether the tiebreaker will be the quads or something else

I'm hoping/expecting that the 4,4,5 represent Home games, i.e. each encounter will comprise 27 games. If it's only 13 games in total that would be very sad.

I think this was really decided to just be an echo of the CL3 and cl2(?) bracket stages. So it'll be as similar as possible to the league, just with an extra game for tiebreakers, but still a similar number of 6 games a side.

ok,lets try to put this in way so that i can understand-are we play option A or option B?

option A--home 6 games-away 6 games--tiebreak 1 game

option B--home 12 games-away 12 games--tiebreak 1 game

Because the total number of games played is claimed to be 41 for a clan reaching the final, I assume we're using option A.

In each competition, winners of the first two games drawn will player each other in the semi-finals. Logically, winners of the last 2 games drawn also play one another in the semi-finals.

In each competition, winners of the first two games draw player each other in the semis, as do winners of the last 2 games drawn, logically.

logically, unlike this sentence! ;)

So, just to be clear, we can use maps that we've used in the CL4? But we can's use maps twice in the Divisional Cup.

For the who, it's as Vampire quoted, the bracket given at the top there should also help with informing on who you face after getting past the first round.

For the when, I think original deadline was Sunday 22nd April, but because there probably was a little delay in getting the draw out, it may be extended until wednesday 25th, which could also help distinguish this from Phase 2 if there's a midweek deadline.

General Brock II wrote:So, just to be clear, we can use maps that we've used in the CL4? But we can use maps twice in the Divisional Cup.

Yes, No

Rules Specific to the knock-out tournaments:
Clans can only use each map once over the 3 rounds of the tournament, except Random map which can be used an unlimited number of times.
In the first round and semi-finals, individual players can play a maximum of 4 games.
In the finals, individual players can play a maximum of 5 games.
Use of maps and players is entirely seperate to, and does not affect, usage in the league competition.

Also, sorry for the bad capitalization etc in my earlier post. As the CC Dispatch's representative, I had to ensure we were first on the scene in reporting the draw ;)

This is seperate from the league tho, so some clans aren't in the same league as they are in the cup
eg afos is in cl phase 1, but ID is in the divisional cup etc
