Re: CL4 Divisional Cups Sign-Up Thread

Thanks everyone.

We now have 32 clans - perfect for 4 tournaments.

Once phase one of the league is complete we can determine which clans will enter which competition (according to divisional status / phase one record).

I will then be in touch with details ahead of the first round draws to take place in live chat. The first round of each tournament will take place on week 4 of phase two (there will be no league fixtures that week).

To make a 5th tournament we would need every single remaining CL4 clan to sign-up which is extremely unlikely - please be aware of this if you haven't joined already.

    • PACK
    • AOC
    • TSM
    • KORT
    • ID

  • The Clan League Trophy - clans from upper divisions
    • TFFS
    • PIG
    • DYN
    • MYTH
    • VDLL
    • OSA
    • OTP
    • WAR

  • The Clan League Shield - clans from middle divisions
    • MD
    • GR
    • HH
    • BoFM
    • KOA
    • LHDD
    • AKA
    • FOED

  • The Clan League Vase - clans from lower divisions
    • DBC
    • TLW
    • 1RFG
    • TNC
    • DB
    • SOH
    • MB

Just me being pedantic, but as 'trophy' is a generic term for cup, shield and vase, etc wouldn't it be better to avoid that term? 'Clan League Trophy' almost sounds better than 'Clan League Cup'!

'Bowl' or 'Plate' are popular trophy terms when a tournament has multiple tiers and could be used in this instance.

Just a thought.

I totally agree with you CoF.

It's outrageous that the organisers are making the 'Super Elite' bracket of clans play for a mere Cup. Therefore I would like to suggest something along the lines of:

Champions of Champions Holy Grail and Cup of all Cups Trophy for God Like Clans Super Elite Award

Then the plebs, serfs and the rest of the clan underclass would really have something to look up to:

or it could be you're just being pedantic

DJ Teflon, why does your list have four and not five divisions ?

Sometimes "rewind back to the top my selecta" is annoying.

I'm sure the first post explains that clans needed to sign-up for the additional knock-out tournaments
.

Sooner or later, everyone will grasp what's going on in Clan World - its honestly not that complicated (once you remove the banter, sound-bites etc. . . . )

;)

A Division 2 team is in the Cup, some Division 3 teams are in the Trophy, etc.

not at all complicated... im pretty sure about 80+% of players have no idea how the system works... about 95% of players+organizers had no idea there was some games in first round that were with illegal settings and would probably stayed like that if Josko didnt enter discussion with WPBRJ about allowed settings... and out of three different players from three different clans i alone have heard complains about scoring system(which is absolutely ridiculous)... and ofc, pretty much anyone but the organizers will have no idea which part of CL 4 they are playing!
so no, its not complicated at all... NCAA basketball brackets made more sense then CL4!
and dont get me wrong, i do appreciate all the hard work you guys put into this, and i applaud you all for doing it. but its not only complicated, its beyond it...

its complicated due to players trying to bend rules so we as organizers have to create rules that most don't know about thank the few that always look for the loophole and the few that always look for the easy way out ! yes you all know who they are all you have to really do is read the threads and its the same 12 or so players that always want some thing different than whats there.

Can you guys please clarify the eligibility rule, as we have several members who are ineligible for the league (fair enough, they used to play for another clan) but who would like to participate in the cup (which seems reasonable, as it hasn't started and so they haven't represented anyone else in the cup).

From the rules on p.1:

Use of maps and players is entirely seperate to, and does not affect, usage in the league competition.

All other rules from CL4 apply to the knock-out tournaments (settings, deadlines for map and player list submissions etc).

Thanks

As the above states, use of players is seperate to the League itself - so you are free to use transferred players for the competition, as long as they haven't already played in this competition of course - which they cant have done yet.

Clans will be required to provide a list of 10 provisional players for these touraments. These lists may be identical to the list provided for the league, or may differ.
