Optimus Prime wrote:In response to sully800's concerns about repeat questions, I already have a fix in the works. The idea is to make it so the system determines which questions you have answered in say the past... 7 days. If you have answered a question in the past 7 days it will not be allowed into the pool of possible questions for that session. If you then answer every single question available, a message will appear notifying you that you have answered all available questions and will need to return later to play again.
The idea of never allowing you to answer the same question twice has merit, but it also prevents the site from being something that can be enjoyed over and over. I think if we put a delay on the questions, making it much harder to remember the answers that you will have a much harder time remembering. That coupled with the eventual inclusion of thousands of potential questions will make it even out in the end.
Also, perhaps a scoring adjustment is needed to penalize more harshly for wrongly answered questions? Right now you lose 2 points for a wrong answer, but gain 3 for a correct, maybe switch that to reverse it? Or perhaps a different scoring solution?
I'm open to suggestions, as I mentioned in the first post.
