remove all Wall posts by specified user [Implemented]

Postby cicero on Tue Sep 16, 2008 10:41 am

Concise description:
  • Add a "remove all posts by <user>" button to the Wall interface

Specifics:
  • Add another button alongside the existing [X] delete button next to wall posts. Perhaps [X All]. This button will, with a confirmation as usual, delete all the Wall posts made by a user.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • When a user spams your Wall you can clean it up without spending an inordinate amount of time.

This suggestion is prompted by the discussion in the Time block on Wall posts thread.
FREE M-E-Mbership and simple rules. Conquer Club - it's not complicated.

random me statistic @ 13 December 2008 - 1336 posts : 232nd most public posts (not counting Tower of Babble) of all time.

What about checkboxes (like in the MCP) where you could select which posts to delete

Another idea to prevent unwanted spam is have an option to only allow posts on your wall by people on your friends list.

I thought you could do this too

EDIT: evidentally not, but I know some people's walls are blocked. (maybe you can't post on foes walls)

ya you cant post on foes walls. which isnt efficient because someone can attack you before you can respond, and very easily while youre offline

Fantastic idea
A while ago someone posted pages of spam on my wall...
It didn't take long for that player to meet my foe list...
[X All] sounds good

Is there a feature that allows you to delete all your wall posts simultaneously? Of a dozen pages of wall posts... Its a bit time consuming to delete 600+ wall posts. :|

I've been harping on Lack to get a "check box for deletion" --- but I'm thinking it will be a while still. I'll see what I can do!

Mass Wall Clear Option

Postby jammyjames on Wed Oct 28, 2009 8:05 am

Concise description:
  • Instead of having to clear each individual wall comment taking hours on end to be able to clear the whole lot, have a delete all button to completely clear the wall

Specifics:
  • Thats specific enough i think

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • Make life a hell of a lot easier for people that want to clear their wall

I've long wanted the ability to check box wall posts for delete. IT is a feature that may come out in the future with other Wall/Profile updates.

I like this idea. It takes too long to delete comments and I have stopped trying.

Allow multiple deletion of Wall posts

Postby chipv on Sun Nov 08, 2009 5:03 pm

Concise description:

Can only delete wall posts one at a time.

Specifics:
Allow multiple deletion of wall posts just like PMs. (Use a checkbox per post and a button/dropdown)
A Delete All Posts would also be nice.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

It is too laborious to clean up your wall because of the number of page loads.
That means wall posts are unnecessarily taking up space.

So this should make it a little easier depending on how it's done

Bringing this back up into the top of the pile... i beleive this to be a really needed feature..

i sent in an e-ticket and king achillies pretty much told me that he wont touch my wall, i have to painstakingly clear every single comment one by one...

WTF is this...

Lack please put this feature in, it would make life so much easier for us all
