be able to invite players to a speed game...

create a speed game and be able to invite players.. maybe i'm missing something in the software that makes this difficult....

be able to play freestyle speed games with players you choose to play with seems like a good idea...lol

Pretty sure this has already been suggested. I'm not really sure what ever came of it, if it was rejected or if it's in submitted suggestions.

Either way, I completely support this. Do you know how many times I've set up a speed doubles game and posted the game number on my partner's wall, only to find that some trigger happy cook had already joined the game on my team?

Well, it's not that many, actually. But it has happened a few times, and it's not cool.

This is a good suggestion. It's annoying to try to coordinate joining of speed games currently. Since the poll is closed, does that mean that a 5 minute invite is what the suggestion is currently? I support the 5 minute invite. I would support any form of speed invite. But if there's any question of time, I would keep it in the 3 to 10 minute range. 5 minutes seems like a good idea. Anything shorter and you still are trying to coordinate very quick joining of games, which has to be done in the current system. Anything longer and you might create annoying delays in starting speed games.
