When i type a players name into the player search at the top of the scoreboard, the players info comes up, but they're ranking does not. I think it would be better if this info was included.

i believe fieryo means, Ranking is always #1, because it's only showing 1 player, I agree, and think it would be MUCH better if it showed actual ranking, and I think everyone else will agree too. Because whats's the reason for disagreeing? Intimidated because they are illiterate?....
Surprised this was never mentioned before. Nice choice fieryo!

Just hit back, and scroll down to where players of that score are.
Actually I have thought of it too, but meh, not that big a deal. If it's easily done then yeah sure why not.

yeah, i dont mean to make it sound as though this MUST be done. if its a simple matter of adjusting some code or what not, it might be nice, but if its too complicated for whatever reason i think ill be able to survive without it.
Scoreboard Search

Currently when you search the scoreboard, the number that you are is out of the results of the search, ie. if you search gavin_sidhu it will come up with my number being 1. Would it be possible to change it so your number is the same as when you dont search the scoreboard?

Gavin, again I love your ideas, but they've been suggested time and time before.
This one was under
Show Actual Ranking in Scoreboard under the 'Pending' category, and subcategory of 'Community & Site'.
Please search the suggestions box before posting...it doesn't take more than a few minutes, and it is there to help.

When you search for a name on the scoreboard, it always shows it as 1. Can it show the actual rank, and not just rank 1 when I search to see how I'm doing?

Bug:
the search resets the number when compared to other players if i specify in the search
when i search for a name it lists the rank e.g 1-10 to only that of the searched personage
also Is Rank Or score more important perhaps should specify
AS High score is better than low rank on the scoreboard
thankyou

You narrow the search, so the list then becomes independent, so if you only searched yourself, you'd be first on your search.
If you searched all the people with a specific part of a name (such as a letter) it would also be independent. (Would be recorded from highest to lowest score as well)
If you want to know what your specific rank is, then you have to go to the page that your score is on, and manually search
Hope this helps,
-John
Scoreboard check (convenience issue)

This is the of two minor convenience issues.
It's nice to be able to see your ranking as a number, which can be done by searching the scoreboard. But when you use the search function, it always displays you as #1. it would make sense to have the actual ranking number displayed here instead of this #1 thing.

Improved Scoreboard Search Function

First of all, I apologize for the bad Paint pics…I’m at work so couldn’t do anything in Photoshop right now
Concise description:Display the actual rank of a user (or users) when using the search function on the Scoreboard.
Specifics:- Right now, when you search for something on the scoreboard it returns the results in numerical order (1, 2, 3, 4, etc).
- I am suggesting it be changed to display the actual rank of the user/users (3, 25, 7456, 9321, etc)instead of displaying it in numerical order.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:- Allow users to search for their and other user’s ranks with more ease by typing in the username and have the rank of the user returned instead of a meaningless number being returned or having to search page after page for the user.

When I first joined this site - it was probably the most single annoying thing about trying to find my rank.

I voted yes - note that this suggestion has been asked for before - a long time ago - but I don't know where...
