Here is another topic where a similar discussion is going on. http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=82621
EDIT: Hmm, that link is broken, maybe the topic got moved or merged.

skip game

alows game to be skipped in the list of games, so that when you hit "next playable game" it doesn't take you back to the top.

Specifics:

will allow you to put off a turn until a later time, without having to manual go around it to play the rest of your turns. This would be useful only in freestyle games, but would be much appreciated by those like me with 50 ongoing freestyle escalating. just have to click a tick box "skip game" and the game will be ignored when hitting "next playable game" could have option reset itself every hour or so, and would make playing those long day-by-day games more pleasent.

Would also be beneficial when you have that first game you just want nothing to do with because you KNOW you're going to lose and just dread ending the turn

Looks just like this suggestion by Brucewar tbh. I suggest moving the discussion there (and/or merging of the threads).

Sounds like a good idea I might add.

Go to next game button

Concise description:
  • Have a "Go to next game" button.

Specifics:
  • Next to the "Begin Turn" button have a "Go to next game" button that will skip over the current game for now and send you one down your games list from the one you are currently on.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • This would prevent people from having to constantly return to the my games page if they come up to games they don't wish to take a turn in at the moment.
  • I believe this would greatly enhance the playability of the site, and probably wouldn't be that hard to implement.

Man that always annoys me when I have to go to my games to skip a few games I don't want to take my turn in, then I have to keep going back there. Implement it quick smart...

Agreed X 100!!!

I could have used this 50 times today. I'm in a Quads Manual game and I'm waiting to hear back from my team on where to deploy. I have to go to My Games each time and select the next game down the list. There has to be an easier way!

 Until this suggestion, I didn't ever notice the link to go to the next game. I always click my games and then the next game I want to play.

At least this thread helped you then. ;)

Jump to Next Playable Game improvement

PostPosted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 2:21 pm
by vodean
Concise description:
  • add function to jump to nextplayable game
  • keep old "jump to most urgent playable game" function.

Specifics:
  • This will enable skipping over games, so that if you have to wait for a teammate, you don't have to go to "my games" and then the next game.
  • this will not encourage one-game dead-beaters, because a function will be added to make sure that people who repeatedly miss turns will be given vacations

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • makes site navigation easier
  • makes site more comprehensible

There was another similar suggestion to just allow "skip game". It was a while ago, cannot remember what ever came of it.

Enqueue the turn [Submitted]

by Falkomagno
Enqueue The turn
  • Allows the option "queue", next to Begin turn

Specifics:
  • Queuing the turn, means that if you click that option, the game will no appear when you click the link "jump to your next playable game", but the next in order. Anyway, if you click My games the queued game will appear ready to begin.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • In some games, specially in freestyle, you will prefer to delay the begining of the turn. If this option is implemented, the annoying proccess of go to begin games, and choose the game will dissapear.
  • The ultra-annoying fact of find the game which is desired to delay, over and over again, every time that the link "jump to your next playable game" it's pressed, will dissapear
  • The link "jump to your next playable game." will enhance its utility
  • Where there is a lot of active games, this option it's actually a must, for strategic purpouses

awesome idea.

This also helps if you are waiting on a game till you can consult with a team mate

I think there have been similar suggestions asking for the same thing. If I understand this correctly, it seems like a great idea. I'll keep an eye on this one. Doesn't look like it would be that difficult to code.

Cheers, JB ;)

That's a great idea....also for games that you can't think of anything and you decide to take the turns of the other first and then see again this game...
