In-game statistics [Done]

The ability to view detailed in-game statistics. For example the number of armies per player, the number of territories owned by each player, the projected number of armies to be gained next turn for each player etc.

This would save time needed to figure out these stats and help in better stategy planning.

Priority** (1-5): 3

I think this is a good idea, and it's nice to see someone actually using the form at the top of the forum. When its down to 1 on 1 in a game, I always have to count the amount of territories the other player owns, to calculate how many armies he will get next turn, and try to lower it.

A user on here named Tr0y created a script that calculates everything you mentioned as well as the number of cards each player has and a (somewhat arbitrary) strength rating. It also puts in a frowning face when you're a eliminated and a star if you win.

Here's a sticky thread that leads to Tr0y's greasemonkey script and a few other useful ones...

Also, it is on lack's To Do List to incorporate card counts in a future update. I don't know if that also includes army counts and projected armies like the grease monkey script shows, but it might.

The only features Lack will incorporate from the greasemonkey script is card counts, sortable columns, and status indicators. If you want the other little features you'll have to download the script.

I actually prefer figuring it out, it adds an extra level to the game.

Can you make that optional? I actually don't want the card count or any thing like that.

Game statistics

In the CD game of risk II there is a window with game statistics. In this window you can see how many:
- cards each players is holding
- the number of armies a player has
- the number of countries a player is occupying
- .......suggestions.

I am using these statistics in games to make tactical decisions and i am sure if all players would use these statics games would get more interesting e.g. better played.

At this moment i am using a excel sheet to calculate these statistics for those games i judge its important to have them available. But its still a lot of hand work.

In my opinion it would be a very nice feature to be able to have a window in which the statistics can be seen.

I bet some other players have additional statistics they would love to have instantly available to make the nxt move.

What do you guys think?

Reinforcement counters

Sometimes when I, or I imagine others, play a newer map, or one we've never played before, I wonder if I have all of the bonuses I see or how many troops I will be getting next turn.

Yes, it's not necessarily an incredibly difficult thing to calculate, but part of playing more than one kind of map at a time is keeping track of which bonuses you have and when.

Do you guys think that a simple little reinforcement counter somewhere on the My Games page, or in the actual battle itself would help? This wouldn't be public, it'd be just for you, and it would be useful in fast paced games, or when you're trying to balance two games at the same time.

Just throwing it out there for you guys to rip it up. Thanks a bunch,

Snoman

I don't really know what you're suggesting. Maybe if you used the Note to self it might solve your problem.

No, he wants to know how many men he will get at the start of each turn... Download a greasemonkey script for that...

Hey there, happy!

You have to update your BOB - that is what's causing the jump.

works great thanks,
I only have one problem I'm in a fog of war game and i can see how many territories the other players have! I don't think that is right. it kind of negates the point of fog of war don't you think?
