Friends being highlighted on the Index page

I may be thinking too much into things, but I had an idea and thought it was best served if I placed it here and got the feedback from it.

Concise description:
  • Idea being: What if everytime you came online you were able to determine who you knew that was online as well. This can very well help in the joining/building of teams games by players you are familiar with and who you so choose. Sure you can do this same feat by clicking on every persons account that you know until you find this information. But what if on the index page where it lists all users who are online highlighted your friends that were online for you.

Specifics:
  • Kinda already explained specifics in the description. But we all know how to use the FOE list, if users were to use the FRIENDS list as the same and have players tagged as their friends then with this implementation they could venture to the index page and check to see what friends of theirs are online, and be able to converse with them, get their attention about a turn in a game, set up games, and many many more things.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • I think this will aid in the problem of making a public teams game and having other players who you didn't want to join under your team do so. Obviously not perfect but it can be used as a tool to help.
  • Just give an overall added asset to help users do many things with.

Anyways, may be off but thought it to be an idea that had promise.

Thanks,
King Sam

If you go to the control panel it already lists the friends you have online in the left hand side. They are listed on the top of your friends list separated by a horizontal line. No horizontal line then you have no friends online. :geek:
