What is your response to the accusation that the Society of Cooks is merely a well-crafted ruse for farming inexperienced players?

Why "Train a Cook today, lose to a Sergeant tomorrow?" Why not "lose to a Colonel"? Hmmmm?

Is it true that in order to be an SoC instructor, one has to best you in a 7-game 1v1 match on World 2.1?
