ManBungalow wrote:The update works fine for me, but now the Begin Turn hotkey doesn't have any effect when it's not my turn -- before the update the map would refresh and the turn would be initiated if possible when the hotkey was pressed.
Now the user has to refresh the map and then hit the begin hotkey. This may sound odd, but being able to begin in the same second as an opponent is often vital in freestyle games.
It's not a bug of note, but it's a bit of a pain and makes me wish I hadn't installed the update.

Other than that, your work on this fantastic script is much appreciated!

agreed, I wasn't aware this changed (no freestyle player myself), but I'll change it asap.

Ok, I adapted the script again. Begin turn-button should be fixed.

For those who can't press the Update Available-thingy: please use the direct link, http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/64539.user.js

And yet, I still can't use Clickies in my games for some reason. Luckily on my other computer I haven't updated.

Yeah, I don't know the source of that yet. Trying to find out..
(I assume it throws some javascript-error, if someone could hand that to me: that would be useful. Javascript console: ctrl-shift-j. Error should occur when going to a game page).

To revert to the last version before yesterday: http://userscripts.org/scripts/version/ ... 07.user.js

Thanks! Back to working fine for now. I'll keep using the old version.

I found the source of the error, looks like I used a function that's only available in firefox 3.5 (and Chrome, which is why I used it). So if you're using 3.0 and are unable/unwilling to upgrade, please revert to the old version for now.

I have one or more issue with google that is not the easiest thing to explain maybe.

Google is mentioned here?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

What does Greasemonkey have to do with google? Does it run on mail.google.com or *mail.google.com*?

The old version works for me as well, while the new one does not ;)

I have about 98% connection..what could cause this add on to lag all the time. I see people managing 1 move / second but due to lag that's absolutely impossible for me. How to get rid of lag?

Is it easier to play with clickable maps?

Depends on what your problem is. If you understand the connections and bonusses on a map, but hate to select the right territory in the dropdown-boxes each time, yes it helps.

If you don't understand the connections or bonusses, it helps a little. BOB would be a better choice in this case.

But of course you can use them both, or none if you understand the maps completely and are not annoyed with selecting territories etc.

yes, practice and you will get it. I myself dropped clickies at first because I made some mistakes, but tried again, practiced and now I love them. Perhaps find a friend, join a map with lots of spots and just go nuts, at the end of the game, maybe even it up and go for broke, but in the interem, you can have some fun learning how to use clickies fast. I myself always try to practice on games I know Ive won too thereby learning with no consequence If I make a mistake.

If nothing else, even if you never get fast, its still 100 times faster than the drop down menus.

Good luck.

I guess it makes sense only to freestyle players. Seq guys don't need clickies.

I have to have it on for testing. My last freestyle game was in 2009, and I only played 4 that year.
And still if I play at a computer that doesn't have it, I'm slightly annoyed with having to select everything (and usually just install it anyway). So it definately works for sequential players too.
But it does have a huge extra advantage for freestyle speed players.

I finally got around to upgrading CM from 3.31 and BOB from 4.10.1 to 4.10.8. I did both by just clicking the 'Update Available' thing on the left menu.

When I upgraded CM, I noticed that there were two CM's running, one called 'ConquerClub Clickable Maps' and the other called 'Conquer Club Clickable Maps'. I deleted both CM and reinstalled by clicking the update on the left menu again for CM.. it was still there since I hadn't refreshed the page.

I'm not sure what happened, but now CM's not loading whenever I'm in a game, even though it's listed as being active in GM. I've tried shutting down Firefox, logging back in, and going back to a game, but that hasn't worked.

Any idea how to fix this? I don't know how I'm gonna play CC without clickies :(

Does anyone know a link to a previous version of CM that I could use in the mean time?

Strange case, I do have a version with 'Conquer Club Clickable Maps' (the other is the default), but that's in beta. And I noticed that mistake, but it's useful atm for easy switching.
So I guess somehow you either installed the beta a while ago or when you upgraded.. I'll consider it a one-time event for now, and rename the beta-version.

Best way to go is to uninstall the beta-version btw, that would solve the problem.

Lack is going to make a change that will have an impact on CM today (probably).

Once that happens, CM will not function any more, which means upgrading will have to be manual. I'll put the updated version at the normal location as soon as possible, but until then you can find it here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/72599.user.js (Click to install. Btw, this doesn't work with the current setup, so only install after the change).

The update works great, but for one glitch (that I've noticed, anyway). The floating cross-hairs no longer exist.
