I'm in agreement here.

Very nice work and progress Ballslap... it's much appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback. I decided not to add browser buttons to the game screen to give you the maximum amount of screen space for taking your turn. I felt they occasionally got in the way.

What do people think? Would it be better to add them to the game screen as well? If so I'll add them in to the next version.

Well, I understand that, but if they are small at the bottom, there will still be room, IMO. AND, sometimes you want to go back to your previous game to leave a comment or look at something real quick. Hard to do currently.

How do you mean? As in you can't even download it from the app store? The minimum iOS version required is 4.0 so you should be able to download it with no problem.

Right, when I click to Install it, I get this message: "This App Is Incompatible With This iPod touch."

I have a 2nd gen 8 gb iPod touch with 590 MB free (model MB528LL), and I'm running iOS 4.2.1 (8C148).

Hey guys,

There should be a new release of the app coming out in the next week or so. With this update you will be able to access all features of the site - join/start/find games, inbox, etc.

I've also added browser buttons to all web views.

Are there any other suggestions for this release?

Let me know,

Cheers.

Since the actual site won't do it, maybe you can do it on the app... Something along the lines of this suggestion: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=164867

It works ok, but sometimes it is a bit slow. But I think it is due to the spec of my iPhone.

I still have the minor problem of having all my games show up in the waiting tab, with none under the ready tab, but it nothing major, the games that I have to take my turn in still show up at the top of the waiting tab. Other than that, all seems good. Great job with the app.

I don't have this issue.

One thing that just came to mind about the app is if you could make it push notifications about things such as: it's you're turn in game xxxxxxxx, or a teammate left a comment in chat, or hey dummy your time in running low in game xxxxxxxx, then this app would be even more awesome

Well it would Prolly be hard to get a game chat notification but a notification system would be great. Pm/wall post / your turn. That would be pretty sweet. But make it where u could turn it off maybe bc it would get annoying when u have 75+ active games and u get notified all through out the nite while ur trying to go to bed an get off this game bc it takes up all ur free time lol.

Push Notifications would be great.

If you can only do it for one thing, I'd do it for game turns, but if it can be made for multiple things that people can switch on and off as they please, then I would say have pushes for wall posts, PMs, game turns, and game chat.

Sometimes, I check my games, then Im at the bottom and I just want to go to the top.

I normally use Atomic Web Browser and I still do for the forums, but for games, I like this app.

This would be a good implement. To reference, Twitter does something like this if you touch the lower left icon.

I ditto this. For awhile I thought the back button had a bug because I didn't see it when I was in the forum, but then I realized it only displays when accessed in chappy's example.

On the main game page for the app, it would be nice of it told you how many games were your turn and how many were waiting. I imagine this could go on the red title bar for each of the categories.

I would like it if you could look at designing the app to chop up the game screen into several menues that expand from a button at a corner of the screen. The left menu bar and names on the right seriouly impeede gameplay. All that you actually need on the main game navigation page is the map (zoomable) and a fixed movement menu bar (though implimenting a clickable maps style interface is obviously the end game here). Then from the ingame menue you could have chatlog/gamelog/players+info and whatnot as seperate screens.

Frankly, as i said before, if CC were any good they would have just done this with a mobile version of their site, it would have been cheap/cross-platform and brought plenty of new customers. Though the App provides some advantages over this already. It might be easier to get what you actually want done using java on CC's end rather than making objective-c interact with their interface from your end.

I just realized that on the main game page, you can swipe the game and see who is in the game. I really like that feature. It would also be nice of you could out what type of game it was; ie standard, doubles, etc.

I'll be downloading the app shortly, and will give any feedback I think might be useful. I just wanted to say how cool the users are, everyone seems to be really interested in making a good thing better, it's nice to see. Also, looks like this has been in development for awhile, with many updates & changes, so MANY THANKS for all the hard work :)

I wonder if that has to do with the fact that the Conquerman map has animated graphics. I don't remember if any other maps do.

Okay, then, could someone (I'm looking at you, SaviourShot) try that map with the app and see what happens? That could help the app developer track down the problem.
