Concise description:

Add the speed game chat functionality, ie. the auto-refreshing chat, to casual team games.

Specifics/Details:

The chat refreshes automatically every couple of seconds in speed games. I'd like this same thing on casual team games.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

On team games, communication with your teammate(s) is often paramount. This is really difficult via the game chat though, since you have to click refresh map all the time to check if your teammate(s) have posted anything new in the chat. It is especially annoying if you're in a critical spot which requires long strategy discussions between moves.
This suggestion would make all that better.
If this suggestion is not implemented, puppies will cry. Don't make puppies cry.

Isn't the chat auto-refresh in speed games synced with the map refresh, i.e. it refreshes every 15 seconds?

15 seconds? I'm sure it's more often than that. I think.

Anyway, may be, but I still want chat auto refresh for casual teamgames.

it is linked...refresh is every 10 secs.

The point is we need the same for casual team games.

I agree, this would be a good feature natty. You got any idea how often you would like the chat to refresh in casual games? Every 30 seconds? Every 5 minutes? Every hour? Good simple practical suggestion... the kind I like.

The same interval as in speed games seems good to me.

I REALLY want this implemented. Nothing is worse that making a remark to someones post, only to realize they added to what they just said and, for example, made it more clear or fixed a fallacy in their statement before you posted, but you didn't notice it, because you didn't refresh before hitting the "send" button. ugh...

Glad to see that this is a suggestion. Dismayed to see that it's down at the bottom of the suggestion pile.
