Conquer Club

So I had this idea that joining a 1v1 game second means you are more likely to get the first turn. When I played lots of tournaments I always tried to join the game second, especially if the game was manual deploy. I know it's suppose to be random but I don't believe it

I'm going for the gold trench medal in the easiest way possible playing 1v1 speed games on Luxembourg. I have made all the games I've played so far and I am counting how many times I play first or second and these are the results so far:

Games played: 100
Play first: 34
Play second: 66


Has anyone else found this???

I haven't keep track but that's what I think too. The player who joins often starts.

I will update my lux stats when I have completed a 100 lol, and will add anyone elses stats to the first post

Well I nearly only play 1v1,games started by me and I had the impression I went first slightly more often than my opponents,no stats to back this up.If you are correct it means I have won 58% of games going second more often,I should award myself a medal lol. I could use some..

I am glad it works out for you! lol. out of the 100 games i've started 34, and won 44 games

I tracked it one time and had about the same 33 percent of starts--I was joining second though. That was with a sample size of about 120 games.

Joining 2nd is an advantage if there's fog because you get to see the board first, getting the 1st turn is a bonus because you can attack before the opponent looks at the board and take a bonus without them being able to know if they had troops there or not if you play it right.

For those of you that don't want to read it: 193 games, red went first 98, green went first 95.

Unless it's a round limits game... then joining second gets you a loss in the event of a tie!

In FS, joining second is always good.
