Actually people do that. Whether it improves the actual odds or not, is difficult to say.

I wouldnt call it all that lame though. He actually has a proposal as to why the odds might be different with actual evidence of a sort.

random is random, there is always the chance of 50 consecutive 6's, no matter how remote it seems, it could and probably someday will happen.
