Freestyle Dilemma

This is more a rhetorical pissed off question then anything.

I just lost 50pts in this Game 12146734 because of this bug:

2012-12-30 07:34:32 - TheSaxlad deployed 5 troops on Dakar
2012-12-30 07:34:33 - FreeFalling123 deployed 14 troops on Nairobi
2012-12-30 07:34:33 - TheSaxlad assaulted Nairobi from Dakar and conquered it from FreeFalling123

My guys never defeneded and he won the roll going over +20, which I doubt actually happened as I've seen this happen more than once. My troops never got the chance to defend they just disappear because of the timing issue. This is bullshit and I should have won this game convincingly had this not happened. If there is some way you can find this roll from 10 minutes ago and tell me that he actually won the roll seemingly without losses that would make me feel a lot better. So my question is -- did he win the roll? or did my guys just disappear?

edit: btw it was a 26 v 20 but i had deployed 14 guys and he finished with a 10 advance and 1 behind so I am convinced he didn't win the 26v34 this way

Thanks,
Free

Just looks like he was really lucky this time. I've seen stranger rolls.

I'll quit crying in this case, but I saw it happen before where I deployed 17 in this same situation and the guy won 6v18 advancing 5. It's like the system just doesn't register my deploy and my guys disappear. Somehow, I just can't believe its always dumb luck.

And yet it is :)

actually, if you were later then him attacking, then the drop would not have registered.
so you were quite lucky to get the drop in as it was, sadly he had perfect dice

Yeah- I did think that was a bit suspect at the time- I was trying to go quicker than you could drop... and then was really suprised when I had that many troops...

I still think there is a gap between the deploy and attack of like 0.1-0.25 seconds where it doesn't register your deploy, but the attack runs through. Especially when I've seen it 3-4 times with results that seem a little bit ridiculous. I was really hoping I could get some closure in knowing exactly how many defense I received, but more than likely I just had a bad round of dice.

so you mean he lost 15 and killed 34. That seems realistic. about 3%. You have played about 4000 games and so there have been attacks like that thousants of times. If lets say an attack like that hapens 1s per 4 games then there have been about 30 of them which end like that one

I have asked smarter minds then me to figure this one out. If possible ill post the reply to you and here. Its a matter of long breath though, its not something that can easely be checked one way or the other

Update:
it my be of little help except for future occurances.
Here are some thoughts right now:
You can check your dicestats against that particular opponent to get an indication on how those rolls went. Ofcourse you need to do it soon enough to avoid other statistics being mixed in(with other games)

Also, "everybody" knows that the attacker has greater odds to win. 6-18 is not unreasonable to win. (personal note, just don't count on it very often )

I think this about does it. Unless someone can come up with this occurance, checks the with the opponant and checks the dicestat, at the moment there is nothing for me to go on.

NEW PROOF
Game 12168622

2013-01-04 02:10:05 - vragus deployed 6 troops on Puerto de Acapulco
2013-01-04 02:10:06 - FreeFalling123 assaulted Puerto de Acapulco from Puerto Vallarta and conquered it from vragus

this was a 4 v 9 I won a roll and conquered but his deploy did not appear nor defend. I am not kidding this happened for me this time and I feel bad about winning on a 4v9 which I only took 3 guys to win

and for the record MC this roll has a 0.012% chance of success so this would happen in 1 and 10,000 games which I've seen happen at least 5-6 times

1/10000 attacks, average attack per game... 100. thus once every 100 games or so? You have played 2800+ games so you should have seen it 28 times or more..
