Clickable maps

Can someone explain to me how to drop less than the maximum number of troops using clickable maps? I'm tired of scrolling down to the pull-downs menus all the time, and with more and more big maps coming out it really adds a lot of time, but every time I've tried to use the clickable map it drops all my troops in one place. I've tried left click, right click, middle click, no matter what it drops all my troops in one place and then I lose the damn game and go back to using the pull-downs for another month.

Really? 16,000 members and nobody can answer this?

with clickable maps (the GM script) left clicking drops one troop, and right clicking drops them all.

Also, be patient, it wasn't even 24 hours from your original post.

.

No, I don't have the add-on. I'm asking about the built-in one.

W,S Keys: Increase/decrease troop quantity (slow)
Q,A Keys: Increase/decrease troop quantity (fast)
Mouse Wheel: Change troop quantity by scrolling over the selected region.

think those are your only options.

Okay, thanks guys.

Now I need to find an open turn in a game that isn't close, so I can try it again.

well, checked it out and realised that, to see/click on blue question mark, you dont need it to be your turn bud...
anytime you can go in any game inside then question mark there... :)

Well, trouble is, it says:
Instead of using this action panel, you can play by clicking on the map. Point your mouse over playable regions and follow instructions in the tooltip. Use these shortcuts as well...
N Key: Skip to next game, Jump to next game
B Key: Begin Turn
E Key: End Deployment, End Assaults, End Reinforcement
L Key: Later (decline to play spoils)
W,S Keys: Increase/decrease troop quantity (slow)
Q,A Keys: Increase/decrease troop quantity (fast)
Mouse Wheel: Change troop quantity by scrolling over the selected region.
CTRL Key + Click: You can always use CTRL-click instead of the right mouse button.
Middle Click: To advance to next stage (Begin Turn, End Assaults, etc.) click the middle mouse button anywhere on the map.

... and my experience has been that spinning the mouse wheel does nothing, and after I spin the wheel and click on the territory again it still drops all my troops in the same place. But I've only tried it once every two or three months and after each failure I haven't recorded exactly what happened, just gave up in frustration, so I haven't really been moving up the experience curve, just starting from zero each time. I need to find a game where I'm far enough ahead that mistakes won't kill me, and just try it over and over again until I get it.

Anyway, thanks again. I'll report back once I've got an open turn fitting the description.

Okay, I have it under control for initial deploy.

Now I have to try to get it for advance after combat.
