Third Crusade - Trench Warfare Issue

Hi all - I was recently playing a trench style game on the Third Crusade map. I started with London, took Wales, and went to cross the English Channel in Round 3 when I realized that there was no way to advance an army across... since the channel resets to 3-Neutral at the end of every round.
Any way around this?

Does your Instructions tab at the top of every page not work?

In any trench game where a region turns into a Neutral, you can attack it advance in then attack the next region and move out of the region before it turns to Neutral.
So you can move across the Channel
