Hello everybody,
my question is simple, what is best to do if u have 5 spoils and are going to trade them in,
do you trade 3 spoils of the same colour or do you prefer 3 different colours?
what is logically the best?
can u help me out on this one ?

I will assume you are referring to escalating.

On CC it does not matter. Either way, you have a 33% chance of getting a 3-card set on your next draw as the colors are randomly generated on each received card (vs there being one card with one set color for each territory when playing the board game at home).

This might be too obvious but all things being equal it is best to cash terts you occupy if possible.Otherwise it is equally obvious it makes no difference in escalating.

Don't listen to any of these charlatans. When faced with that dreadful choice, the best move is to--of course--Play Your Turn, but let time run out, without cashing in. Never leave the spoils at the banks. They will only rot, and these charlatans know this but will not tell you the Truth.

u have to trade with 5 spoils, otherwise u cant make your turn,
and with letting time run out,
and still making my moves before, i rather finish in time to get the 3rd spoil for next rd,
or what where u trying to make me understand,

if u have 3 spoils and can trade, its possible to make your moves without trading and make your moves and let time run out,
to keep your 3 spoils ( same colour or 3 diff coulours) for next rd, if it gives u a advantage to win

yes i was refering to esc, but it doesnt really matter really

i thought to trade 3 same colours will give u a better advantage, ( 3 red 1 blue 1 green, traded - u need still another red next rd)
( 3 red, 1 blue, 1 green, -- b,g,red trade, 2 red left- u still need one red next rd to trade)

if its for the colour red u need to trade than it doesnt matter,
what is the situation if u get blue instead of red, than u have 2 red, 2 blue so the rd after u trade for sure

if u traded 3 colours, and get blue, than u have left 2 blue, 1 green ( now u need 1 red or 1 blue nxt rd) so the chances are higher

if u traded 3 diff colours ( u have left 2 red, and one blue) u need one red or 1 green next rd, so the chance to trade deffinately
after the next two rds ( after tradingd)

this means to trade with 3 colours gives u a better chance to trade 2 rds later for sure
( just woke up, so my mind is still twisted)

it doesnt matter, u have the same chances, whatever you do, 3 colours, or 3 different ones,
its always the same <( theoreticaly)
# the rest is pure luck, luck that u can trade with 3 spoils
bad luck if u still cant trade with 4 cards

Bones2484 was the only one to give a right answer,
i prefer still to trade 3 different colours

I also look at any terts I am likely to own soon (easier in trench) and avoid handing them in too if possible, all else being equal
