I suggest that if a player joins a Battle Royal, that their foe list be wiped clean automatically to prevent others from joining.

For the Battle Royales, the games are created in a tournament, and in tournament games, foe lists are ignored. Your suggestion is already being implemented.
However, if you are referring to recent large number games being created, that is a site exploit.
