Edit: I don't know if there is a pro-town or an anti-town lie around (or even just a bigass misunderstanding). I don't even know if Hippo has the power to tell the difference between a pro-town or anti-town lie either. What I know is that something does not quite add up and I want to get to the bottom of this.

I also heavily dislike the fact you're getting in my way, Yoshi.

We have 2 players showing issue with Nendreel, one of them claiming that he has lied (Vodean), while the other has merely suggested it (Hippo). Where there are lies, there are usually anti-town win conditions around (remember LAL?), and no matter how you slice it one of these 3 HAS to be a suspect. I just don't yet know which one, hence the questions.

Regarding your last sentence, Nendreel cannot be a scum target while scum thinks he has a decent shot at getting lynched (scum uses NKs to kill townies that are harder to mislynch), and if "A" says "B" lied, you don't waste your NK on that "B". That's pretty much the same logic on why I said you would not be N1 recruited, which you seemed to agree with.

Also, Commander never said Nendreel is town. Did you mean Kanin?

Ok, I guess the real answer is halfway between here. I am not sure where I read that nendreel was town by comm9, I think I had nendreel and Kanin mistaken.

Also, I don't think that nendreel is a likely target for a lynch, but maybe the mafia thinks otherwise.

Finally, I assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that vodean was just referencing hippo's distrust and your pushing, rather than additional information.

Vodean doesn't have any information on me, he's just bandwagoning.
I suspect the discrepancy Hippo is talking about is over the human/Human thing. I can explain that with a claim. And no Comm9 has never mentioned my alignment before.

Obviously if enough people think I've been anti-town I'll make a full claim. Considering all the votes tied up on ghostly, I'll make the claim if enough people just ask.

I don't think that would be appropriate. I'd rather see them (Hippo/Vodean) making their accusations in a clear manner first and you claiming after that (if needed) than seeing you claim to rebuke accusations that are poorly formulated/explained as of now.

That would be true.

N1 - Lovo + PCM (masoned)
N2 - Saf + PCM + Rodion (masoned)
N3 - Saf + Edoc (masoned)

This would be the correct order of succesful captive minds. This does not necessarily reflect all the actions we have taken as some of the inhabitations have not been succesful.

Rodion wrote:I don't know whether the failed possession on Strike made one of them powerless for the day or whether they got to keep their previous body (which would explain someone still inhabiting Saf). Depending on the mechanics, the N3 ??? can be a failed attempt on Strike Wolf or an unknown player.

I guessed alien because /'s PM releasing me from being a captive mind mentioned an alien city.

Guys, if Ghostly has not yet been hammered, could you please not rush the lynch? There are a lot of things that should be discussed. We don't want people dying N4 without releasing valuable information because some people rushed the hammer. Examples of things I'd like to discuss today are:

1 - Did Hippo catch Nendreel lying?
2 - If Vodean knew Ghostly's alignment due to his night action, how come didn't Vodean vote Ghostly? The no vote actually made me think Vodean was guessing/deducting Ghostly's WC, as someone with clear evidence of a lie would have posted something like this:
"My NA revealed Ghostly's WC is not survivor (he has to kill whatever in order to win). Ghostly lied. LAL. Vote Ghostly."
In the end, Ghostly confessed and everything is going to end up well, but I still want to understand if Vodean used a NA in order to catch Ghostly and, if so, why didn't he vote Ghostly in his last post.
3 - The end of Vodean's PR also bugs me. He went insane for asking a mid-tier question (track) and then got cured after asking the riskiest one (cop)? Wasn't his PR permanent, unlike Jonty's?
4 - How did Commander know Kanin's abilities if his mind was never captured?

I already confirmed that Strike was indeed target (I'm pretty sure that I did, at least) and we have failed as he died. Yes, we are not humans - we are indeed aliens. I could provide the name, if necessary, but I honestly see no need for it or how it would change anything.

1. I'm torn about this one - but it does seem so.
2. Playing cautiously and afraid that people won't trust him?
3. I do agree about this one - it definitely seems odd. There is a remote possibility that he would be one of the 3rd group of Gods and he would be trying to get rid of rival factions, but there is no evidence but speculation and WIFOM.
4. Who said we didn't use the actions of people while in their bodies? ;)

@ Nendreel

Commander never said he was town ;)

The current way to get scum seems to target a person nearly blindly and just pressure, pressure and then pressure some more with hopes of hitting the right target.
But... It was so artistically done.

Saf/PCM: answer to that thing we've been discussing is C. I thought one of you had the answer because I hadn't. It turns out / corrected a PM he had sent me and I was the one with the answer to that particular doubt.

Would you guys care to indulge us as well?... I don't see how being secretative is to town's favour and I would be curious to know (as I'm sure others are) to what exactly you are talking about.

We were talking about who your 2 buddies were. We know. =]

I decided not to out them because I'd rather see you keep feeding us info about possible anti-town players.

Before night falls: Rodion didn't target anyone last night. I learned this from my captive state.

This info was revealed to you as a side effect of you being captive? Because we can already deduce as much from him being captive on Day 3.

When I got released from the captive mind status, / PMed me a name. It was the name of that one I had already deduced (let's call him #2), saying he did not have a vote for the day (later on I would conclude this happened due to SW's failed possession) . I then imagined either Saf or PCM would have gotten your name upon release and the other would have gotten A/B/C (that's why I asked them those questions). When / said Ghostly was lynched, I PMed him noting that #2 (who's in Ghostly's BW) should not have a vote since SW's possession failed. He then corrected his PM, saying he should not have mentioned #2, but C.

Yes. I got a track on hippo the night before, so I guess I'm just getting random tracks. And either I'm the only one getting them or the others aren't telling.

Now that I think about it, LoVo did mention something about a one-shot track...

My suspicions are that Saf got no info as he was not released from his captive status (the info I got was from the same message that stated I was "free"). It seems, however, that no PM ever mentioned who had captured you, PCM?

I got no 1-shot powers.

I'm completely derping here. Comm's WC was me. I thought I had gotten the hippo track for some reason.

The final Elder Thing of the group knew it had to keep the Necronomicon away from the waiting sealed Gods. It dove into the sea, on a line back to the Elder Thing’s deep hideaway, passing above the city of Y'ha-nthlei, the creature is swarmed by the Deep One inhabitants, fulfilling the bidding of The Great Cthulhu. Familiar with the attacks and tactics of the anphibous minons of Father Dagon and Mother Hydra, the elder thing surfaces to the air.
The elder thing was fast, but even it could not see the flying monstrosity that in a blink of an eye tore through its wings and sent it barreling back towards the shore.
Helpless, and in the center of the convergence of Human, Byakhee, and Deep One,the Elder thing resigned itself to its fate.

Once again the prized Necronomicon would be claimed.

Sorry that I've been late with some of the scenes and stuff, you wouldn't believe how insane this game has been, I've received 174 PMs concerning this game so far, and I've had to send a heck of a lot too.
I'm writing the scene now.

There were many attempted kills that night, some succeeded, some failed, one in particular had a very bad ending. A human, at least someone who appeared to be a human, stabbed another human in the chest. Waiting, hidden close by was a doctor, this was not any ordinary doctor, he dragged the body away, making certain his patient was fully dead. He and his collegue worked well into the night, testing another batch of their reanimation formula. It moved, mindless, trashing about in a fit. Once again a failure.

They shot the creature, killing it once more and buried it out in the Potter's Field, but it would rise again later that night...

The ephemeral wailing of a alien orchestra quickly filled the air, luring once again a victim to meet the horrible visages of Nyarlathotep. It opened up a portal to show them the abomination of Demon Sultan Azathoth, and once more took a victim for its cause.

Another murder occurred that night, the killer stalking his victim before shooting him in the back, quickly running away afterwards.

The flying and swimming minions continued their search, this time for the the book's new holder.

I interpret this as someone was taken for the cause meaning they were recruited to that faction. The player who was target is in all likelihood insane.

Is this text suggesting that there is some sort of zombie creating doc that revives people more than protects them? In that case is doom a zombie? He got killed and revived by probably the same doc. What would zombies do? Also which faction are running after the necronomicon? The remains of the black brotherhood, the shoggots? Are all elder things dead or there is one left? Getting that book might be a wc that ends the game?

Shamble? Eat brains? Depends what movie you're watching.

Not sure if a zombie is a good or a bad thing. Something to keep an eye on.

I expect that saf and edoc learned something being captive minds last night. Better yet, I'd like to know who the new captive minds are.

So it seems like we're out of Elder Things. That's nice. Just in case, if any more Elder Things would like to give themselves up, please do so now.

Mind explaining more on how you got killed and ressurected, Yoshi? We're probably talking about 2 different ressurections here, since yours got no flavour and this one did, but the more data the merrier.

Commander, what are today's captive minds?
