I'm not going to requote what speisr so candidly explained for me. (He was correct on all points though). What I was trying to say by bussing was that sometimes you put a vote on a scum buddy, only to take it off when they make a convincing fakeclaim, it usually gives a bit of town cred, so on and so forth. However Doom botched his claim, so basically everyone except speisr, IMO doesn't get the cred for "finding" scum, because anyone who could possibly be scum, ( you for ex.), would look like scum if they took their vote off after it came out that he botched it.
A suggestion though. I want more information from Kanin, for a particular reason, he's already softclaimed, so I want a hardclaim from him. As long as the mod would be so nice to prod him for us, I'm sure we can get a claim out of him today. So, neither is anyone going for the nitpicking I was doing, though you did generously react Though for the above reasons I did feel it was a little bit scummy.

Spiesr has already explained why this is bad, so I won't bash you for it any further, but its fair to say igmeoy. As someone who is having a very hard time staying active I can't in good faith hound PCM for the same things I'm doing.

I will vote Kanin ambiguous soft claims to power when they are unwarranted are scummy, I would like him to claim so the docs can know if he is worth protecting, or if he is trying to draw fire from the scum with a softclaim. At this point I don't think anyone can tell the truth and the night is going to get mucked up because of it.

Could you provide a more specific answer as to what parts of his defense convinced you to change you mind? Document your thought process somewhat so your posts have some content.

I do think that Kanin was a bit quick to jump on Doom after he made his mistake, but I'm disinclined to vote him at this juncture for a number of reasons:

1. The number of votes already on him,
2. That being the only real element of the case (apart from the "look how I helped" post he gave today), and
3. The fact that he hasn't posted again today to defend himself.

If point three is left sit, it becomes a reason to vote him, hopefully to get a rise out of him to at least make a case on his own behalf.

With the deadline where it is I am going to strongly suggest that Kanin claim when he shows up. That way we will still have a chance to try get another claim if we decided to believe his.

I agree also, I've been pushing for it for awhile actually.

While pancake didn't answer all the questions (especially anything from Spiesr), he has responded well to mine. Kanin was my second guess, but I'll hold off the vote until he claims.

Kanin hasn't been online in a week so I don't know if we are going to get a claim from him... do we let this ride out or do we try to look at another case before the deadline?

I don't know who else to go for. . . I all honesty I was hoping to get some info out of Kanin today, but if hes not on he can't post ect. ect. ect.

We could try to get a claim out of pancakemix still.

True except I have the sneaky suspicion that PCM is town, however It might be our only option atm since Kanin isn't here.

Actually, a quick question for pancakemix. Earlier you said something to the effect that you could prove your role. Is your role what I think it is? (If you are not certain what role I am referring to then it isn't.)

We will attempt to find another soul to inhabit his body, if we cannot find one by Tuesday, then he shall die.

Spiesr, to answer your question, I have no idea what you're thinking, so I guess it's no.

A thorny situation indeed. We don't want to lynch Kanin Usagi without getting a claim first, however we will probably lynch after he claims. If he can somehow prove his claim he lives, if not he dies. So if he is replaced then his replacement is possibly immediately screwed.

I can think of my preferred solution, but it would require the mod to be much more helpful than he probably should be.
If Kanin Usagi is scum kill him and end the day.
If he is town and has a role which could be proven replace him. (What constitutes provable is unclear.)
If he has a role which could not be proven state his role, mechanics, and actions (as known to him) then kill him and end the day.

These scenarios are probably what would happen if he were still here, but automating them doesn't seem proper...

well been proded, and am trying to find something else that we can go on so as to not end the day with nothing, but im not seeing anything at the moment.

Can we get a time extension? I don't want the day to end like this considering we've been waitng for Kanin for awhile...
