Ultimate Frisbee (kidding) more baseball?

But yeah, Hack Wilson, one of the greatest hitters history seems to gloss over. Easily had one of the greatest offensive seasons ever in 1930, hitting over .300 with 56 homers and 191 RBI. Couldn't beat his alcoholism, who knows what he would have done if not for the drink.

Funny alcoholic Hack Wilson story:
Once, his manager, Joe McCarthy, in an attempt to warn Wilson about the hazard of excessive drinking, dropped a worm in a bottle of whiskey Wilson was drinking out of, killing the worm in the process. He then asked Wilson, "Now what does that prove, Lewis?" Wilson thought about it for a while and replied, "It proves that if you drink whiskey, you won't get worms!"

Not 119, but 116, a mark they share with the 2001 Seattle Mariners.

I think the team is the 2007 Boston Red Sox. As far as runs go... 1312. That number could hardly be more random.

In a side note, I'm going to miss this thread.

Should we just let it die while it still has some dignity? I mean, we can't carry this out too long. It's been a good thread.

Had to look it up (actually had the wrong team) but the guy had a pretty interesting career. Let's see if this thread starts back up.

In his career, how many home runs did Frank "Home Run" Baker (the alltime leader before that Ruth fella) hit?
