I agree with mibi's 3000th post, but since there's already a competition for 'Central America,' I think it should be 'Middle Americas' — just because America usually refers to the country but Americas refers to the continents.

I disagree. people just call the two different regions by the same name (though as a Californian, I've never heard of the mid-west being called that before). Neither is very common but if someone was making a map of the US Middle America I'd think they'd call it the Mid-West.


Honestly the map does appear to have an 18th century theme going. The images, the title, and the legend contribute to this. I'm not sure if it's a big deal or not.

I do agree with using local lingo for the names.

It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the CAs will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system, after an update has been made.

It looks awesome! I've been thinking for a long time that this area of the world needs a good map of it.

Only suggestion I might have to offer is maybe adding some mountain boundaries. Down the middle of Mexico, to protect Mexico City from the east. Also in South America following the Pacific coastline.
