Granted it is a part of Newfoudland, but if using the provinces as "continents" then you will need them to make them larger to put territories within.

I am not a fan of those +1 bonuses for a single territory, but that is only my opinion. If something along those lines were to be considered, capital bonuses, such as on the Italy map, would be a better solution, I think.

Labrador is just so big and empty! This map should be "Maritime+Newfoundland(The Island not the Province)"
Although, having a territory named "Happy-Valley Goose Bay" would be fun. :P

I agree with what you are saying, but from what I read most of the map makers here are very high on accuracy...that is the only reason I say you have to include Labrador. Even if it is one big large territory. Don't have to divide it up...

well this map has the same problem as the last one you posted. too small. chop off the top 1/4 of the map (maybe leave a little bit of Labrador) and zoom in so you can fit territories to do this area justice.

I don't think this map needs to be huge for the area, but at least 30 territories.

I've made up about three maps so far trying to figure out an Atlantic Canada map. We played one on a dry/erase board last month and it worked out fairly well.

New Brunswick : 10 territories
Nova Scotia: 7 territories
Cape Breton: 5 territories, including sable island (I know Cape Breton is part of Nova Scotia, but it shouldn't be, we are very different from those who "live in the mainland")
Newfoundland: 13 territories

Maybe some ocean/lake bonuses similar to Great Lakes?
I am seriously all about this map. Let's make it happen. There's about 8 of us from Sydney, Cape Breton who are all active CC players. I'll link this thread in our team game.

oh, and poor PEI: 3 territories

Pretty simialr to the county map shown on the previous page.
There are ferries that make for nice borders:
PEI - NS
NFLD - CB (one border in CB to two different borders in NFLD)
PEI - NB (bridge)

there could be a ferry from CB to Sable Island
More borders would have to be made from NFLD to NB i think.

It's not my map, but I have serious issues with PEI being part of Nova Scotia. haha... but really, It's looking good. Great idea with adding Quebec and Nunavik, makes for better border options.

Should be: Cape Breton, not cape brenton.
Should be St. John's, not Saint John ( in Newfoundland)
Suggestion for Evangeline: Annapolis Valley or Evangeline Trail
Suggestion for Sunrise Trail: Halifax, Antigonish, Guysborough

It's looking really good though. I'm not great at figuring out borders. I am really good at making suggestions once someone else has filled in the blanks. Any other geography questions, I'd be more than willing to help out.

You can almost see my house... at the eastern tip of Cape Breton!

just curious, what exactly does unit_2 for this map?

i mean at least for japan he came up with the idea (not first since there were many others before him that suggested it), but here it's not even his idea since gozar suggested it.
