You still can. Update BOB to the latest version and ignore the box to the right of the map. Spending the extra time necessary to make every single update that not everyone likes an optional feature is not an effective or efficient use of lackattack's programming time.

BOB Makes CC really slow.... Nobody in their right mind plays with BOB on that is into speed freestyle. Just let it disable it!

My point still stands. It is not affecting your ability to play a speed game. If you don't use BOB anyways, then like I said, ignore the box, it isn't doing you any harm.

not too happy about any of this.

I'm all for the new game stats! It adds a new dimension to the game.

If some players don't like it, perhaps they could be given the option of turning it off ( just like the large map view)?

Another suggestion: new troops for eliminated players should read "0", not "3".

As it's been said time and time again, the game log has always shown this and B.O.B. already displays it for you.

The only people complaining about this either a)don't know about B.O.B. or b)have B.O.B. and are upset they don't have an advantage anymore. Nothing about this is new for those who knew how to find it, so please stop whining.

cool, i'm glad you guys need to cheat to get your ranks. woo. you guys are so good at this game

Dont have the same negative attitude, but kind of agree with this. Knew all along about BOB and "whatever-monkeys" people were downloading, but call me a CC-purist in that I actually enjoyed analyzing territory counts and bonuses on my own, added a little something to the game for me. This almost makes it kind of boring to look to a screen on the right and basically have the game summed up for me...

As i said, if people really feel the need for BOB and other programs, i have no problem with it, but kind of dumbs down the game for me. As bruce and others have said, I wouldnt even mind if there was a disable button so i just didnt have to look at it, but to me it would seem that most established players on this site can scroll 10 lines up the log to figure out someones territory count and not feel the need for this...

But not really losing sleep over this, ill just ignore it.

I don't like it, it just makes it easy for the lazy. Like the government seems intent on redistributing my money to those who don't want to work, CC has become a liberal organization coddling the weak at the expense of the strong. What's next, an undo button? GD I hate socialism. Mike

I applaud those players who have made a habit of counting territories and troops by hand, because basic skills like this get little exercise nowadays. However, I think the real skill lies in what you do with the numbers once you have them, so I have no problem with aids like this update or BOB helping me to make informed decisions of strategy and tactics.

this is one of the best updates i have seen, it could save me a lot of work chatting to noobs explaining whos the biggest threat...

it just gives information so if u just look at it and dont look around map it doesnt help much, for example a player with 40 armies in 40 territories that dont even include one bonus could be a lesser threat then a player with 30 armies in 1 or 2 territories, even if the first has everything higher

love it.. although I think it could maybe benefit from a better layout.

what if you made the Game # a little smaller (maybe put it with the game stats below the map).
then move the Round Number stat up. that would add some room.

then maybe you could place the game statistics below the names... and highlight the numbers according to the color.
you could place the info above... Spoils Territs etc.
and below that the numbers colored 3 15

ALSO... i think it would be better for Spoils to be listed 1st .. or go back to the original spoils counter next to the names... and have the other info listed like i described

just a thought

Well, you said you didn't use BOB, so you didn't have the statistics before, so if you aren't using them anyways, why bother scrolling? ;)

I agree- it's hard to see how someone can complain about a change because they feel it "levels the playing field."

As for fog of war- I'm not sure it's really such a change- it doesn't tell # of armies or armies due for other players, and I think most of us check the logs anyway, so telling number of territories just saves us the effort of scrolling and counting. I like the change, and I give it a thumbs up!

I am glad you guys are working on the site but I need to say my honest opinon...I think this is a crappy addition and theat it doesnt help the game...it just provides a distraction and alot more scrolling on a already small comp screen I have...

I say make this a hide away feature...for those that dont want it we can minimize or take it all away like large or small map...that might work

OP, he aint alone on wanting the disable button. I were the first one that mantioned it, and many others have said they want it aswell, so why are you then argueing against it?
Its just some of us that really dont some of these changes you make, and want the opportunity to keep it old school. So please get your heads straighten out and give us this god damnit disable button. :D

it seems only low rankers are cool with this...that is because they are lazy...any good player can do a quick bonus/troop count in like 1 glance at the map...why is it so dumb for those of us that pay to be able to have the options we like?

im not like really angry or anything im just wondering why you guys always seem to implement the lower ranking players wishes and never cater to higher ranking people that put a lot more time and energy into this site...
