Version 13.

1. Bridges replaced
2. some territories around Boroko enlarged to give some extra space down there
3. font size increased from 3.3 to 3.4 and most territory names have 75% interline spacing
4. Westim Ples and Gogodilla Viles increased in size.
5. N.N.=Napa Napa added to legend and adjustments map to the map
6. font colour reduced from pure black to 80% black - it takes that jaring and strong contrast look from the map.

I feel things are overall improving... :)

The black lines that outline the different borders, are the necessary? Can you get away without having them or tone them down a bit? They seem a bit forced. Also, can you move Poreporena over a little so the a isn't clashing with the blue. Sorry just little stuff. Map is nice. I'd hang it on my wall.

I'm more coherent now XD so the border here: Image doesn't need to be so bold right next to the river.

Hi Nola_Lifer,
I wouldn't want to do away with them because they help define the continents better, given that there was an issue with some other borders. I have toned them down from #000000 to #444444 in next version.

Also, can you move Poreporena over a little so the a isn't clashing with the blue. Sorry just little stuff. Map is nice. I'd hang it on my wall.

Oh, what was it that lead to your being incoherent? Pleased to hear that you are recovered now though.
Actually, i quite like that border there, it also helps define Erima continent better, although you might see a difference when it is toned down.

Please refresh F5 the map above to see these changes.

it's better now that the bonus zone borders aren't pure black, except the border on kanudi gas ples is exactly the same as the shadow colour on the impassable mountain ridges.

Ian the dark green on the mountains is #4A5118
the border line dark grey is #425542

well the N.N. things does loose the flavour but then RBO doesn't want NapaNapa on 5 territory names...so my suggestions is to slug it out with him, because i would prefer to have NapaNapa in full on the names.

:roll: it's your choice, I thought I was helping more than anything getting the territory name length down to a manageable level, especially on the Oil Refinery.

In the end, i don't think there is much of a problem here with putting the full names in as you can see from the small list below of already xml'ed maps where there are regions that have longer names that what is in this Pot Mosbi map.

so yes, i would like to return to the full names. That in turn will enable players to directly look for that name and not have to remember or check the legend each time to see what N.N. stands for. It will also free up that spoace in the legend again for better eye real estate.

Also, as i've said before there is the cultural aspect that has to be considered.
I think to alter these altogether is like asking someone to rename the Ben Franklin Bridge from your Philadelphia map.
You see, i think in making these maps we owe it to culture to stick to the names given on map as much as possible, even if there is a small creative license involved. :)

Golf ples or plas is hard to read

nappa nappa whatever tree is covered by the numbers

enga tribe all kind of blurs together...maybe consider extending the 'pinkish background more behind the text there so it isn't trees. This could solve that issue

Looks good otherwise. it is a big map to take in just initial impression wise.
