Looks like general_c might get his wish.

I'll wait for Pandemonium to confirm.

It's all over people :) Finally - it has been exhausting enough :) and fun though - I liked the bonuses very much, but it was a nightmare to confirm them and point them properly...

02 - Seamus76 - 96 points
03 - fairman - 91 points
04 - Hook2 - 87 points
04 - Pack Man - 87 points
06 - Pandemonium - 84 points - :D
06 - IR1SH ACE - 84 points
06 - General Redstone - 84 points
09 - fbonsignori - 82 points
10 - dustin800 - 81 points

Congratulations, general_c! Well done!

=D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

General_C, I will get your your premium within 3 or 4 days. Don't stress if there's a delay; sometimes there is, but you can be sure you will get it!

Okay, we need to get the team finale started. This week is incredibly busy for me; I'm in the middle of moving, and it's a lot of work, so my CC work is a bit spotty right now. Pandemonium, could you post the final scores by Team in the thread? When I get some time (might be a few days) I will start writing to the teams who made it and making sure they have replacements for the missing players, etc. (If you want to do any of that, that would be great, but it's also okay if you just leave it for me.)

Top eight teams are in the finale; but might want to list all the teams, for their own curiosity.

01. 294 - Gael Force (IR1SH ACE, bobzimmerman, Conchobar, VestedPower)

02. 247 - AT16 (general_c, rmjw10, jrbedwell, Cj1990)

03. 225 - AT15 (fbonsignori, opposites., lorenzol, brambles)

04. 218 - Essex of CC (dustin800, Sam02, DBandit70, bfunny27)

05. 187 - Macedonian Conquer Team (Pandemonium, stevkov, n.n., kristijan_mk)

06. 183 - NO TEAM (bandido, ringemaster, dexterdexter, remy1309) - this is where the best 4 no-teamers rank, but I think it would be unfair this team to enter and take the place from some team that formed legally months ago...

06. 172 - AT10 (rjhankey, Bobdakota, alexcata, clanger35)

07. 162 - notyou2 team (davetso, severs, vlajzi83, notyou2)

08. 145 - Special Forces (Hook2, JJ41375, IcePack, bigreuben)

09. 142 - VDLL1 (Pilot16, SirSebstar, der sniffter, JBlombier)

10. 138 - The four bags (ttblanch, Darkseb, Gromph, Starke666)

11. 134 - Chapa Quaint Paintball (mlmarcelo, drwar, Agressivo, Jay_Santos)

How about we declare a New Year's Eve moratorium on these?

Any games that don't end by the time the ball drops on New Year's Eve, we will pool the remaining points (the points that could have been won if the games had ended) and divide them between the remaining players?

Then we can start 2012 fresh by getting the Team Finale going.

Comments?

I obviously won't have any stake in winning the tourney, but my question is what about the points acquired from the other players for winning game 9802695. Does all that go away cause of the moratorium? Since I was winning that match it would have been nice to collect points toward medal rank. Sorry for the late comment, but had'nt read all the post before.

Also a question about team finals, The post says teams need a 100 points to qualify, did Black Death not have enough points?

The remaining 3 games got split-points in THIS tourney only, the points that count tournament-wise,
other-wise the games still continue and can finish and you can make conquer-points just like in any other game.

The post was - any team that have more than 100 points can hope top enter the final top 8,
- as it turned out - the last team (8th) had 145, 9th had 142 and so on - Black Death was top15, had 114 or 118 points, but not enough to get in top8, sorry :)

There are no further points to be awarded in that game, but you got your six points for staying in that long.
From game chat:
2012-01-01 10:34:42 - Dukasaur: ttblanch claimed the objective
2012-01-01 10:35:09 - Dukasaur: no way to prove it without the fog lifting, but I think it's reasonable to give him the benefit of the doubt
2012-01-01 10:35:25 - Dukasaur: so ttblanch scores the 10 bonus points for the objective
2012-01-01 10:40:02 - Dukasaur: as for the regular points, there's five players left, and 31 points left to be won
2012-01-01 10:40:11 - Dukasaur: so you each score 6 pts.
2012-01-01 10:40:31 - Dukasaur: +10 for ttblanch, of course

Also a question about team finals, The post says teams need a 100 points to qualify, did Black Death not have enough points?

No, I never said 100 points would qualify. I said the top eight would qualify, and since at that time we didn't know the team scores, I said every team with 100 points or more should start thinking about playing in the final. Not that they would be in for sure, but that there was a decent chance they would be in.

Don't forget I'm in Black Death. I wouldn't screw our chance on purpose...:)

Answer to Pandemonium:
Bandido wrote:Bandido FRA score : 61
Ringemaster USA score : 52
Dexterdexter ROM score: 45

Done!
Let us know plz.

The time to debate this was in October, when this issue was being discussed...:)
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=149236&start=165#p3425967

At that time, I said they would be allowed to form a new team. Only one person objected, and after I answered his objection he essentially agreed.

However, the team Bandido posted was himself, Ringemaster, and Dexterdexter. He never posted Remy1309 as far as I can see, so Remy doesn't get added at this point.

Let's see if they still qualify with just the scores of the three members they posted.

Team message that I've sent to all members of the top 8 teams:
Okay, if you're getting this message your team is in the top eight and eligible for the team finale.

Dukasaur wrote:The top eight teams will be in a bracket playoff. Team 1 will face Team 8, Team 2 will face Team 7, and so on. Third round, Winner of 1/8 faces winner of 2/7, and so on. Third round, winner of 1/8/2/7 faces winner of 3/4/5/6.
(first announced in Oct. 22nd post, so this should be no surprise.)
Dukasaur wrote:Each round will be three games. To give home ice (or home pitch for those of you who don't play hockey, lol) advantage to the higher-ranking team, the higher ranking team in each match will pick 2 maps and the lower-ranking team will pick one map. The maps can ONLY be chosen from those that were used in the tournament: Africa, France, Nordic Countries, Iceland, USA, Lunar War, Arctic, Greenland, South America, Australia, and Oceania. If you qualify to pick 2 maps, they must be 2 different maps from the list. If you are the team only picking one, you can pick any map, and there is no problem with it being the same as a map that the other team chose.

There was never a discussion of who should be "team captain" and post the chosen maps. For simplicity, I'm just going with the player who has the most points. So, captains are:
Ir1sh Ace
general_c
fbonsignori
dustin800
Pandemonium
rjhankey
davetso
bandido

I want to hear from the team captains as soon as possible. Only Gael Force still has all its members active, the rest of you all need to make substitutions. I've been saying for four months to start thinking about it, so I hope nobody is caught off guard.

If you have freemiums on your team, they need to free up slots for this NOW. (Long ago in a fit of irritation I said that a freemium who didn't keep 3 slots free for this would forfeit, but I think that was a stupid thing to say. We've been patient with our freemiums all along, there's no reason to break precedent. Still, people need to be actively trying to free up slots, not just assuming that we'll wait forever.)

I want you to post your chosen maps A.S.A.P. If you are in the 1 to 4 range, you pick 2 maps for the first round, if you are in the 5 to 8 range you pick one map. The maps, of course, must be from those that were used in the tournament.

Okay, gentlemen! Let's get these boats in the water! Congratulations on getting this far, and best of luck in the home stretch.

Team AT10 is selecting South America as our home map (we're the #6 seed).

The team currently consists of bobdakota, clanger35, and myself -- alexcata appears inactive, so I'm reaching out to the NO TEAM possibilities to round out our team.

AT16

We have decided on USA and Nordic Countries

One of our silver players has two free spots and is working on the third. I believe we are ready for our first two games then.

We have gotten Pantheon to replace cj1990.

Ok, let's see if I can start pulling this together, and see how close we are to being ready.

Gael Force vs. NO-NAME
PM received from Conchobar confirming participation, but no maps named yet.
Bandido has posted confirming participation, also no map named.

AT16 vs. notyou2 team
general_C has posted, no word yet from notyou2
USA, Nordic Countries, ???

AT15 vs. AT10
rjhankey has posted for AT10, no word yet from AT15
???, ???, South America

Essex of CC vs. Macedonian Conquer Team
Nordic Countries, Oceania, Africa
(confirmation PMs received from dustin800 and Pandemonium)

show

We seem to be at roughly 60% readiness.

Either way, though, it's a useless lead. Hasn't been on CC since August..:(

What's wrong with notyou2? He's the original team member, and he's still on CC, and he's premium so shold have no slot problems.
