Each of you has received a pm from me requesting your optional settings for Round 1 Match 1. If each opponent's choice matches, the game will be set using that agreed-on preference, otherwise the settings will revert to the tournament standard:
Seq, foggy, no spoils, chained.
ALL games will be 24-hour turn matches; no speed. We have fremies playing.

The opponents table was pre-randomized by player number, simply waiting names to fill in based on who entered first.

Once settings are finalized, you will receive a pm with your game # and pw from myself or co-organizer, nemrehs1.

Whoohoo, congrats, Humr! Congrats to all the winners so far!

We're now halfway through the R1/M1 games. Each of you should receive a pm telling you who your next balloon race is against, this time in Africa.. gives you a chance to study their play or try to arrange special settings.

We will set up standard tournament settings, but will create a different game for any match where both opponents can concur on alternatives. Reminder: No speed settings for this entire tournament. I know, I know, you heard that till you're nauseous - or did your balloon make a sudden rise and dip? lmao

Match 2 games will not begin until Match 1 is completed.

Commiserations to those who did not win. Each of the "eliminated" names (nemrehs1, MrBenn, Xx TrustMe xX, Darin44, David Hoekstra, tdans, dustin800, Lindax) went into a drawing to determine who wins the "wildcard slots".

Those winners also go on to round 2: Dustin800, Lindax, Darin44, David Hoekstra.

Round 2 is doubles teams. littlebrother2k7 and Sun Tzup have already requested to team together. If the rest of our winners can team up on your own, let me know. If everyone can pick a partner, I won't have to go to random drawings on it. If not everyone can pick their partner (from among the qualifiers) I will go to random drawings for everyone.

Winning teams stay intact for round 3 and get to select from those who did not succeed in Round 2; anyone "not selected" by the three "winning" teams from Round 2 will form the final team to go on to Round 3. Yes, that's right, this is technically the "everyone's a winner" round, because EACH of you, whether you "won" Round 2 matches or not, do get to go on to the triples matches!

Winning teams, be thinking about who you want to round out your triples team. "Fights" (where different doubles want the same 3rd member) will be settled by random draw - if you can't agree between yourselves.
