Who is the best runningback of all time? Different people will tell you different answers. So there is only one way to decide it, a conquer club tournament! I have gathered a list of the top 32 runningbacks based on all time rushing yards. You can pick a runningback from the list or if your favorite isnt on the list you can substitute him for someone on the list. You will also get to pick your own home map. Maps can only be used once. There will be 8 groups of 4 where you will play a 4 player game on each players home map. These will all be terminator games. The 2 backs with the most yards will move to the tournament of 16. There you will play 3 one on one matchups (one on each player's home map and one on a random map). Here is the formula of how you will gain yards in the first part of he tournament: 1st place gets 50 yards, 2nd gets 30 yards, 3rd gets 15 yards, 4th gets 0. You get double yards on your home map. You will also get 10 bonus yards for every person you eliminate from a game. Please choose a back and a home map when you sign up.

Jim Thorpe is better than half that list you have and you do not even have him listed? Sports Century had the top 50 athletes all time and Jim Thorpe was ranked near the top 10 by almost everyone. He is an oldie but goodie. I am not playing in the tourney, but, thought I would throw his name out there and was shocked I did not see it. In fact half that list would not be on any discussion on the best RB of all time debate, it really comes down to 4 or 5 names.
Even Terrel Davis or Bo Jackson could be mentioned, shortened careers I know, but, still, they were awesome when they did play, better then some on that list. You also could consider Jim Taylor, another old green bay packer running back legend.

I didnt say these were the best backs of all time it is just the top 32 as far as most rushing yards are concerned.

Ya'll are taking the wording too literal...its statistically the best ever. There are better RB's than on the list but he's already explained its not a rating, its where they are on the all time rushing yards list. Emmitt Smith isnt better than Payton or Sanders but he has more rushing yards....dang!!!
