Hi everyone...new brackets will go out tonight.

But just wanted people to have a heads up that I have another tourney taking signups...It's a team format based on the NCAA track and field championships.

Sorry guys...not much new to report...I'll make an update late tonight with what we have.

vykingsfan64 knocks off the #1 seed PepperJack 6&5 after winning hole 13.

Finally an update!!!
scorecards and brackets are updated...including #33 vykingsfan64 and his impressive 6 & 5 win over the tourney's top seed.

We're getting close to the tournament quarterfinals, as action is heating up.

Shat and the Ape are all square after 6 holes.

In what has to be one of the classic series of all time-HighlanderAttack was very lucky in beating Agent 86. The luck changed back and forth so many times over the last three holes finally turning my way. Agent 86 tried to halve the hole in 8 thoughts with it being in the 12th round, but I caught a lucky 10 spot and got the dice I needed.

Agent 86 is a great opponent and I feel for him as we both deserved to advance. If this had been the finals it would have been one of the greatest ever. Now that it is over I can breathe. I wish him good luck in other tournaments and can't wait to face his great sportsmanship in the future. He probably put up with some of my unsportsmanlike conduct more than he should have.

well done Highlander and Agent...that was a fun match to peek in on from time to time.

Note: At the bottom of the Scorecards is the blank card for the Quarterfinals, so you can see what's ahead...those matches will go out shortly.

Scorecards and bracket have been updated...four players are onto the quarterfinals with four spots left to be decided. Lowest seed to survive so far is #41 WBPRJ...congrats.

That'd be a match I'd pay to see.... If I weren't currently indisposed playing on the ATP tour and pole vaulting for Oregon

Two quarterfinal matches are now active and vyks/Jefreus is coming down to a thrilling final three holes to decide their third-round winner.

Getting down to clutch time in this tournament...time for steady putters and long drives.

The epic duel in the sun between Shat and the Ape has ended....i think i won but i lost my scorecard....

Cards are updated...and yet another close third-round match with MudPuppy and shoop76 coming down to the final three holes

MudPuppy wins the last three holes to take his third-round match 1UP in yet another showdown to the final hole.

That rounds out our Elite 8 with those matches all underway.

#41 seed WPBRJ is the latest to make the Match-Play golf Final Four...two quarterfinal matches are still ongoing. He will face #2 JCKING in the semis...I'm planning to put up the semifinal scorecard late tonight, so you'll know what the holes will be and I'll kick off the semis in a day or two.

Good luck guys...quite an accomplishment to still be playing at this point in one of the toughest tests for 1 vs. 1 play that I've come up with

I've got to say, looking back at the bracket, the 3rd round has to be considered an instant classic in match play history. Nothing but +1's or +2's and a tiebreaker thrown in!

It's #4 MudPuppy taking on #41 WPBRJ in the championship match...that should get started tonight, so catch all the hole-to-hole action over the next week or two...good luck to our finalists

MudPuppy takes an early 2UP lead with four holes completed...WPBRJ kept it close with an 11-round win on the opening North America hole. The golfers are heading down the seventh fairway and moving toward the turn.

All right...the championship match has made the turn with MudPuppy at 3UP through 12 holes. Good match to finish things up.


Look for another Match-Play golf tourney next spring/summer.

My next tourney will be 2009-10 College Hoops so look for signups coming up near the end of the month.

WPBRJ stays alive by winning holes 14 & 15, cutting MudPuppy's lead to 2UP with three to play...those last three holes have been sent out..
