Thanks for the standings board spidey. It is a little wonky though, the numbers don't line up with the proper columns.

Also, quick question. How are we calculating the Goals For/Goals Against? I'm just curious.

k, if u did it the way i told you, only cut and paste the cells needed, and not have all the white around, center all the cells except for the team names (which are better when lined up on the left), and add some colour. toronto, u can put blue background with white letters. ask if u need help!!

I believe it is how many points you win/lose in a game. I gained 21 points in my win and lost 27 in my loss, hence I'm 21-27

ivok: I know this was my first attempt and I will be working on it and making it better as things go one, hopefully each time it will look more and more nice. If there are any suggestions in regards to it please let me know. And yes lostatlimbo is correct in how the Goals for and against are figured out. to make it more realistic I should just take the first number, in lostatlimbo's example he would be ga/gf would be 2-2. let me know if you would like that better or just leave as is.

That is kind of a cool way to keep track of goals for and against if you ask me. I think for the purposes of tie-breaks (if they come into play) it might be better if you just did the first number. It would seem more realistic like you said.

Some simple formula like 1 goal for every ten points won and lost would work, but it might be too much work for you in the end.

I'm having a blast.

Scoreboard

Postby Aerial Attack on Thu Jul 12, 2007 6:06 pm

The scoreboard looks great as far as I'm concerned (then again, I have the top Goals for).

The only tweak I might suggest is Division record (would that be a tie-breaker)?

Thanks

Who cares if it is more realistic?

I think you should keep both numbers, because that second digit will add up over time. Maybe you could make it 2.7 - 2.1 or something along those lines.

With one digit scores, you could have two players both with 10 goals
(2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2 - for example)

but one player might have had (27, 25, 26, 19, 17, 28) = 142
and the other (21, 22, 21, 15, 17, 24) = 120

that is a significant difference.

long story short - keep both digits, because after an 80 game season, it will make a LOT of difference.

good ideas.

i think to determine division winner (in case of a tie), use divisional record. otherwise, for placement, use conference record.
